My thoughts:
I just almost always enjoy these YA mysteries, especially on audio!
I mostly enjoyed our main character, Pippa, she is smart but also felt quite real. But there were some parts were I just did not understand why she was lying about certain things to certain people, and that annoyed me a bit at parts. Also she made some rash decisions throughout the book, but I feel like that is because she is young.
I would have liked to see a bit more of her friends, most of them are only mentioned in the beginning. And only one we see a bit more often, but we don’t really get to know her. It kinda makes it look like Pippa doesn’t really spend time with them. We only get to see Ravi a lot, but she only befriends him in the beginning of the book.
I loved the authors writing it made listening to this book so easy and I flew through it! She really could set the setting really well, easy to imagine certain scenes. It also made the listening quite addictive!
I really enjoyed the plot. There were definitely some things that I suspected to happen, but most of them happened a bit differently than I thought they would! But there were also quite some twists that I did not see coming, and that totally did fit the story! I would say I guessed like 40% of the big reveal, so I’m content with that!
I have no idea what will happen in the sequel, but I will definitely check it out!
I definitely recommend this one if you enjoy YA mysteries, especially books like Sadie! Although I’m very late on this hype train, so most people have already read this haha!
I really enjoyed this one as well, although I do agree with you that it would have been nice to see a bit more of Pippa’s other friends. I’m not going to complain about getting lots of Ravi, though 🙂 I still havs to read book 3, but I’m very excited!
Hahah me neither :p
I keep seeing this book around and everyone seems to be loving it. It sounds like something I will also enjoy!
Definitely recommend!
