My thoughts:
I was surprised by how much I enjoyed this one! I mainly just read this because I got it in one of the Illumicrate boxes, but I thought this one would be too much romance focussed instead of fantasy. Which I guess was true, but there was a good split between them! Although the plot was a little bit lacking at some points.
I really enjoyed both main characters, Robin and Edwin, their personalities really fitted together! I really enjoyed their conversations! Robin is quite funny, and I enjoyed learning about magic with him.
The underground world of magicians was really interesting, and fun to see how it wove into the ‘normal’ world.
I wasn’t the biggest fan of the historical setting, but that is just on me, I generally do not really like those settings!
I think the book was a slight bit too long, so near the end of the book it did start to lose my interest a bit.
I did really enjoy the audiobook of this one. It was very easy to continue listening!
I’m not really dure what more to say about this one, I recommend this of you want a queer fantasy romance, with a touch of mystery!
I’m so glad you liked this! I really want to read it!
