All the books I read in November!

This was a weird reading month for me! Felt a bit slumpy, but forced myself to read anyway, also did not really have that much time to read. Ratings are going from 1 to 5 stars, but most books were 3 stars for me!

Let’s start with the stats!

Sadie by Courtney Summers. Rating: 5 stars! (audio)

I heard so many people say that this audiobook is amazing, so I decided to try it out! And I totally agree, this audiobook is amazing! It is so well done with the podcasts! My review can be found here!

Shadows of self by Brandon Sanderson. Rating: 3.5 stars!

Still not my favourite in this series, but I’m getting used to the characters! And I’m definitely curious where the next book will go! My review will be posted soon!

A little princess by Frances Hodgson Burnett. Rating: 4 stars! (audio)

I’m happy I choose an ‘easier’ classic for this month! It was enjoyable, but nothing really special in my opinion.

Outrun the wind by Elizabeth Tammi. Rating: 4 stars!

Got this E-arc from NetGalley, and I’m really happy I read it! It was really enjoyable and it has Greek Mythology, which I love! See my review here!

Shadow of the fox by Julie Kagawa. Rating: 4.5 stars! (audio)

Yesss! Another Julie Kagawa book, I love her work! And no surprise, this was another amazing story! And I can’t wait for the sequel, or any other Julie Kagawa book for that matter! My review can be found here!

And I darken by Kiersten White. Rating: 3 stars!

This was not a bad book, but I just did not enjoy it as much as I had expected.. In my opinion all the action scenes were to short, and the things in between were just okay..?! Idk just not my fave I guess, but I will continue the series, just not right away.

Sleeping Giants by Sylvain Neuvel. Rating: 5 stars! (audio)

I’m so happy I finally read/listened to this, it was so good! This reminded me that I should read more sci-fi. And I can’t wait to listen to the next two books! My review will be posted soon!

Lumberjanes vol. 8 by Noelle Stevenson. Rating: 5 stars!

I always love these stories! I’m really happy they are on Scribd! Now I can continue quicker then when I would buy them, since otherwise I would wait between buying volumes, since they’re so expensive..

What if it’s us by Becky Albertalli and Adam Silvera. Rating: 3 stars! (audio)

Disappointment.. I’m a big fan of Becky Albertalli, but this was just kinda boring.. I will explain all my thoughts in my review that will be posted soon!

Gotham academy vol. 1 by Becky Cloonan. Rating: 3 stars!

I mainly read this since I want to read the lumberjanes/ gotham academy graphic novel, and thought it would be nice to know the characters already. It was okay but I’m still a bit confused about what I read.

Lair of dreams by Libba Bray. Rating: 3 stars!

I was really happy to finally continue this series, and see the characters again! I have to say that in my opinion there were a bit too many perspectives, and too many new characters. So sometimes I was confused about which story happened to which character. I still really want to continue though!

A very large expanse of sea by Tahereh Mafi. Rating: 4 stars! (audio)

This book sounded interesting, so I decided to just start listening to it. And I’m really happy that I did, this book gave me a new perspective on high school life, when you’re not the ‘standard blank person’.

Wind and Glass, fire and stone by Quoleena Sbrocca. Rating: 1 stars!

Nope, did not like this at all. This is apparently a bind up of the whole trilogy, stopped after the second book! I was bored, didn’t like the characters, didn’t care for the story, so did not see any reason for continuing on.

Dry by Neal Shusterman and Jarrod Shusterman. Rating: 5 stars! (audio)

Yesss! Another reason for naming Neal Shusterman on of my favourite authors! This was so good, it felt so real! I was scared for the characters most of the time. I often found myself standing still, stop what I was doing and just listen, because I could not believe what was going on. Review will come soon!

The dark descent of Elizabeth Frankenstein Kiersten White. Rating: 3.5 stars! (audio)

I enjoyed this audiobook, I could definitely see similarities with Frankenstein. But at some point I got a bit bored. But near the end there was a twist, which I definitely did not saw coming! I will post my review soon!

Kingdom of ash by Sarah J Maas.

I’m actually not fully finished yet (75%), but since it feels as if I’ve read like 2 book, I will just include it! I’m enjoying it, but I don’t think this is my favourite in this series. I think it is just a bit too long.. I know, how can it be too long hah. The wait for them to get together was a bit too long for me! But my rating will still be 4-5 stars, depending no the last little bit.
