Another book meme I really want to try out is Can’t-wait Wednesday!
About the meme!
Can’t-Wait Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Wishful endings, to discuss the books we’re excited about that have yet to be released. It’s based on Waiting on Wednesday, hosted by the fabulous Jill at Breaking the Spine. If you’re continuing with WOW, feel free to link those up as well! Find out more here.
So I decided to talk about What if it’s us.
Title: What if it’s us.
Author: Becky Albertalli and Adam Silvera.
Genre: Young Adult, Romance, Contemporary, LGBT.
Release date: October 9th 2018.
Summary:
Arthur is only in New York for the summer, but if Broadway has taught him anything, it’s that the universe can deliver a showstopping romance when you least expect it.
Ben thinks the universe needs to mind its business. If the universe had his back, he wouldn’t be on his way to the post office carrying a box of his ex-boyfriend’s things.
But when Arthur and Ben meet-cute at the post office, what exactly does the universe have in store for them?
Maybe nothing. After all, they get separated.
Maybe everything. After all, they get reunited.
But what if they can’t quite nail a first date . . . or a second first date . . . or a third?
What if Arthur tries too hard to make it work . . . and Ben doesn’t try hard enough?
What if life really isn’t like a Broadway play?
But what if it is?
Why I’m excited:
I have read and loved all Becky Albertalli books so far, so that was actually reason enough for me to want to read this haha. I’ve never read anything by Adam Silvera, and I’m not sure if I ever will.. I don’t know I just have this feeling that his books are not for me, also I’m not that big of a fan of sad books, so maybe that’s why haha. But you never know, maybe this book will convince me to read his other books!
Okay, I’m completely talking about other stuff now.. Back to the topic. I want to read it because it sounds really cute, cover looks amazing, and I just want it right now.
Also, I have it pre-ordered so I hope it will arrive at publication day!
