As I mentioned in my TBR post, I have interesting plans in April! ‘Cause
I’M GOING TO CHINAAA (Shanghai to be exact)
When this is posted I’m actually already on my way! I’m traveling from April 3rd to April 14th.

What does this mean for my blog:
- I have prepared all my posts, so in theory everything is posted like normally! (This was so much work tbh..)
- I’m not sure if I have (and want to..) time to sit down and read other people’s blog’s and comment on them. Please know it’s not because I don’t want to read your posts, I just want to get everything out of this experience!
But this also means that I might (or probably) not read as much as I normally do. Which is no problem at all, but that’s why I said my April TBR might be too ambitious haha. I purposely choose books for my TBR that I have on my ereader or on audio, so at least I would be able to pick them up if I wanted to!
More about the travel (if you’re interested):
So my travel to Shanghai includes a lot of waiting, so I’m actually hoping on reading a lot in that time!
I will be leaving around 7AM from my home, to be in the bus for 2,5 hours to reach the airport, then spend 2 hours at the airport, fly for 2 hours. At this point I’m in Moscow, where I have a 7 hours transit (I’m crying), my friend will join me only after 5 hours, and then we will fly together to Shanghai for 8,5 hours. This last flight is mostly during the night, so I’m really hoping I will be able to sleep (normally I’m not, but I don’t often fly for this long!)
So when we’re there, we’re going to meet up with another friend (so there are three of us). We arrive Thursday 10AM so the first day will probably be mostly explore our surroundings and dealing with the jetlag. Then Friday and Saturday we will be visiting Chongming Island. For the rest I don’t think we have anything ‘set’, but we’re definitely planning on visiting Hangzhou and Suzhou. Within Shanghai we really want to visit Yu gardens, see the many temples, skyscrapers (where we come from we don’t have them this high haha), national museum, and many many more! We would also love to go to Disneyland :p (but only if time allows us), see the yellow mountain, and see some nature surrounding Shanghai.

And then unfortunately after 1,5 week we have to go back! Which again 9 hour flight, 2 hour transit, 2 hour flight, 2,5 hour bus. So probably the traveling will be most of my reading time! But the saddest thing is I arrive home Sunday 11PM or something, and Monday morning school again.
Tbh, I’m actually not free in this time, which means I’m skipping 1,5 week of school, so even after I come back I have lots of catching up to do. So please bear with me if I’m not to active for the coming two weeks.
I was planning to make a post after I come back with photo’s and all, please let me know if you’re interested in that? Or if you just want to know about the books I read!
Enjoy Shanghai! I lived there for a year, it was the best year of my life. A fun city full of culture and amazing sights. You’ll have a blast 🙂
Oooh that’s so good to hear! Any recommendations? ☺️
It’s been many years, lol. I was in high school so my friends and I mostly hit up local bars and shops. But the Bund is always a great spot to visit 🙂 Plenty of things to see and do by the river!
Thanks 🙂
I would like to go to the US. And back to Iceland.
Oh I would love to go to both of those!
