My thoughts:
This series is totally worth the read! And I especially recommend the audiobooks!
To be fair, this was my least favourite of the three, but I gave them all 4 stars in the end!
The first half of the book was a bit too dramatic for me. Quite a lot was going wrong for Pippa, most of it made a lot of sense, but still a bit over the top at times. Which resulted in me not necessarily wanting to pick up the audiobook at times.
But then the second half started, and I just could not put it down! I was intrigued as soon as the words ‘part two’ were said. And I just could not stop listening, I needed to know what was happening and where it was all going.
It is really hard to say anything about the plot without spiling anything about the first two books. But I do want to say that the plot still felt ´realistic´ even though it is another mystery in this small town. I did really fit what we´ve already know about this town and what has already happened!
The romance part does become a bit bigger in this book, but not overwhelmingly so. The mystery is still definitely the main thing.
Pippa is still a very good main character, and I loved that we kept seeing the side characters from the first two books. Especially the relation between them and Pippa!
I 100% recommend this series, and I´m very curious to what Holly Jackson will write next!
I’m looking forward to starting this one. I’m curious but also wary because of all of the mixed reviews, lol.
It did get some mixed reviews..
Even though I liked this one the least, it was still really good!
