Time for some short reviews for some audiobooks that I listened to recently!

I read this because it won the GoodReads Choice Awards for Humour, and I challenged myself to read the winners. Also I want to read more non-fiction, so that was a nice extra! Before listening to this one I watched both her specials on Netflix, and really liked her humour so I got really excited to listen to this book!
This book is written as letters to her daughters. And it is such a great mix between humour and real advice! She describes situations she came upon during her life and uses those to give advice! Lots of her stories were very relatable and she just tells things as they are without sugarcoating anything!
I really love that she narrates the book herself, I think that made the experience even better!
I had a great time listening to this, and I definitely recommend the audiobook!

Title: Opposite of always.
Author: Justin A. Reynolds.
Narrator: Nile Bullock.
Publisher: Katherine Tegen books.
Page count: 449.

Genre: YA, romance.
Rating: 2 stars.
I randomly picked this one up from the library, but then decided to listen to it while playing Animal Crossing!
For some reason this book really made me think about Percy Jackson, first I thought it must be the same narrator, but it was not. So maybe it is the writing style? Idk, but once that thought crossed my mind I could not not think it anymore haha!

I really enjoyed the first 150 pages of this book, where Jack and Kate meet each other and get to know each other. But then Kate dies (no spoiler, is in the synopsis!) and Jack goes back in time to fix everything. And then the book became way to cheesy for me and I was just rolling my eyes so often.. I got really annoyed by Jack..
I really do enjoy a YA romance once in a while, but I think this one was just a bit too much for me. I did really enjoy the writing, so I might check out his next work, if the premise appeals to me!

Title: Recursion.
Author: Blake Crouch.
Narrator: Abby Craden & Jon Lindstrom.
Publisher: Macmillan.
Page count: 326.
Release day: June 11th 2019.
Genre: Adult, Science-fiction.
Rating: 3.5 stars.
I absolutely loved the beginning of this book. It was so interesting to learn about this False Memory Syndrome, and were it was coming from. I really liked the two main characters, Helene and Barry, learning about their background and seeing them get together. The first 200 pages of this book I was loving, but then some things became a bit too confusing, There is a better word for ‘things’ in this case, but I’m afraid it will be a bit spoilery! So avoiding that!
Since I did really enjoy the beginning and the writing, I’m very excited to read Dark matter, and whatever he will release next!
I keep wanting to check out Recursion, it looks pretty good! Sorry one of these was a disappointment for you!
It was a very interesting read!
I love finding great audiobooks!
Same! It is always a good sign when you just cannot stop listening!
