My thoughts:
I probably would never have picked this one up if not for Polarthon, and Jade’s recommendation!
This was definitely a fun adventurous story. Quite fast-paced and quick to listen to.
I liked the plot with the endless winter. And these children trying to get spring back! When their brother Oskar is taken by an evil force, (some) of the sister are going on an adventure trying to save him!
The sibling relations is very good in this book, it is a very important aspect of the book! They were willing to do a lot for each other! Even when the oldest sister doesn’t agree with their plans to safe Oskar, the others go around her and go anyway!
I really liked Mila and Pipa’s character, wasn’t a huge fan of Sanna, because of her attitude in the beginning of the story.
But for some reason this story never fully grasped my attention. I’m not really sure why. Might be because I tried to listen to the full book within a day, so maybe I was a bit too rushed. Or maybe I didn’t fully connect with the writing or the audiobook.

My thoughts:
Again, probably wouldn’t have picked this up if it wasn’t for polarthon.. I had no idea what it was about when I started the audiobook. Which might have been a bad idea, because I was so confused for quite a while..
Honestly I think I was confused for the first 40%.. I couldn’t focus on the book, which is partly because of the narrator, I didn’t really on his voice. With his pronunciation it sounded as if the male side character was called Eva instead of Ivan, so I kept thinking that ‘Eva’ was our female main character.. And that was very confusing.. Our female main character was called Ósa, not Eva.. So I think you can imagine my confusion here..
Since I couldn’t focus on the beginning of the book I was a bit confused about why they were being ‘attacked’ and by who.
I really started to understand and enjoy the story as soon as Ósa was traveling on her own! I liked the interaction she had with other people/creatures than. And I liked the world she was exploring on her own!
The rating is mainly for the ending!
