I’ve probably done an auto-buy author list in the past, but I feel like making a new one! Especially since I feel like my reading is changing more and more into Adult books instead of YA!
- VE Schwab – Great example is me dropping everything to read Gallant as soon as it arrived!
- Brandon Sanderson – Definitely thinking about getting the ebooks from his kickstarter! Would love to get to hardcovers (even the monthly boxes) but unfortunately I do not have that kind of money!
- Robin Hobb – idk if she is still releasing books but I would pick them up right away!
- Jay Kristoff – Same as with Gallant, I dropped everything as soon as Empire of the Vampire arrived!
- Fonda Lee – a new favourite, but I binged The Greenbone Saga so quickly!
- RF Kuang – Babel cannot come soon enough!
- TJ Klune – Bit dubious about putting him on the list, I loved the Cerulean Sea and Under the Whispering Door, but didn’t really like The Extraordinaries, so I guess just his Adult work!
- Patrick Rothfuss – I mean if the third Kingkiller book ever comes?!
- Silvia Moreno-Garcia – From all I read from her there was only one I thought was mediocre, so definitely looking forward to her coming release, already preordered!
- Seanan McGuire – Same as with TJ Klune, auto-buy but not all haha, didn’t really like her October Daye series, but loved her other works!

Seanan McGuire for sure for me — but I love October Daye!!! Of all of her series and stand-alones, that series is my favorite. 🙂 I love TJ Klune too, including the Extraordinaries!
I don’t know why, but I just didn’t connect with that one! It might also have been the time that I was reading it though!
Nice list and I still need to read books from a few of these authors. Hopefully I can get around to it this year!
