I saw this book tag @acquadimore books, but is was originally created by Jamieson @Jamishelves, it looked like fun!
A book that you feel you need to read because everyone talks about it.
The night circus and The book thief! I actually want to read the night circus at some point, I’m just to afraid of the hype! And I’m honestly not interested in the book thief at all..

A really long book.
War & peace! I don’t know why, but I really want to read this but it is so endlessly long..

A book you’ve owned/ had on your TBR for too long.
I don’t leave books on my TBR for that long to be honestly (YAY). But I think the fifth season has been on my ereader for around a year now?! Something like that. Main reason for not having read it is the hype..

A book that is ‘required’ reading (eg. School text, reallypopular classic – something you feel obliged to read)
Can I say the book thief again?! I really feel judged for not having read it ahah.

A book that intimidates you
Any Brandon Sanderson book! I’ve read the mistborn series, and absolutely loved it. And I will most probably love all his other works as well. But there are so many!

A book you that you think might be slow
Most classics?! As you might know I’m reading a classic a month, and sometimes I’m a bit dreading that decision, because they are just so slow! But to name one: the count of Monte Cristo.

A book you need to be in the right mood for.
The winter of witch! I really want to read this book, but I feel like I need a wintery setting for that.. But honestly I’m not really a mood reader, so I definitely could read a book set in winter in the middle of summer, no problem!

A book you’re unsure if you will like.
The black prism by Brent Weeks. Two booktubers that I really trust have really different opinions about this one. So now I’m doubting if I will like it haah.

This is such a fun tag 🙂 Mine is posting tomorrow as well…I completely agree that Brandon Sanderson intimidates me…. and I don’t feel like reading The Bone Thief either …
Ooh I will read yours!
I will start Sanderson when I have enough courage haha
I’m also like that with The Book Thief! People are always shocked I haven’t read it, and it’s gotten to the point where I don’t want to just because everyone is throwing it at me, haha.
Sameee!!
I read The Night Circus this month! It did take me a while to read but it was a really interesting book! I have a review on my blog if your interested :)This is such a cool idea btw
Ooh I will check it out! I just started the audiobook ☺️
I haven’t read ANY of these, so don’t feel too shamed!! You’re not alone!!
Good to hear hahah
I loved “The Night Circus” and I can honestly say, if you listen to the audio, it’s very magical! Also, “The Count of Monte Cristo” is one of my favorite books of all time. I don’t know whether you might find it slow, or not, but Dumas’ writing is really good and it has so much in it. I hope you do like it, if you choose to read it.Confession – I tried to read “The Book Thief” and I just could not get into it. I’ve only read one other Zusak buck and I did not like it very much. I didn’t like the writing style of “The Book Thief” so I put it aside and I’ve not looked back since. It’s probably one of the most beloved books that I still have not read.
Yes I was thinking about trying the audiobook! Maybe after your recommendation I might just pick it up soon!
I’m actually currently 60% of the way through the three musketeers and I really like Dumas writing! So now it is a bit less scary to pick up the count of Monte cristo!
It’s good to hear I’m not the only one not interested in the book thief haha
I can agree with almost every book on your list, especially “The Night Circus” and “The Book Thief”. I feel as though they either intimidate me or I have this idea in my head of how great they are … and don’t want to be disappointed ha-ha!
Exactly! I’m afraid to be disappointed
An interesting tag. The Night Circus I would like to read – but I feel like that ship has sailed – I’d like to read her next book instead now. War and Peace is a book I’d like to read too – but it does daunt me – that and Les Mis. Perhaps we should read them at the same time broken down into a few manageable chapters at a time?? The thing with W&P is to find a good translation and there appears to be a few. Brandon Sanderson – I’ve read a few of his books and loved them but he seems to have a number of series out there and it is daunting indeed. I highly recommend is Way of Kings/Words of Radiance – Stormlight Archive. The books are huge (which is why I haven’t started Oathbringer yet!) but they are brilliant.
Lynn 😀
Hahaha I totally feel you on the night circus! Also les mis is huge! I wouldn’t mind reading them at the same time 🙂
I think way of kings will be my next Sanderson!
