About the meme!
Can’t-Wait Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Wishful Endings, to discuss the books we’re excited about that have yet to be released. It’s based on Waiting on Wednesday, hosted by the fabulous Jill at Breaking the Spine. If you’re continuing with WOW, feel free to link those up as well! Find out more here.
Title: Aurora rising.
Author: Jay Kristoff and Amie Kaufman.
Genre: YA, Science-fiction.
Release date: May 7th 2019.
year is 2380, and the graduating cadets of Aurora Academy are being assigned
their first missions. Star pupil Tyler Jones is ready to recruit the squad of
his dreams, but his own boneheaded heroism sees him stuck with the dregs nobody
else in the Academy would touch…
A cocky diplomat with a black belt in sarcasm.
A sociopath scientist with a fondness for shooting her bunkmates.
A smart-ass techwiz with the galaxy’s biggest chip on his shoulder.
An alien warrior with anger management issues.
A tomboy pilot who’s totally not into him, in case you were wondering.
And Ty’s squad isn’t even his biggest problem—that’d be Aurora Jie-Lin O’Malley, the girl he’s just rescued from interdimensional space. Trapped in cryo-sleep for two centuries, Auri is a girl out of time and out of her depth. But she could be the catalyst that starts a war millions of years in the making, and Tyler’s squad of losers, discipline-cases and misfits might just be the last hope for the entire galaxy.
They’re not the heroes we deserve. They’re just the ones we could find. Nobody panic.
Why I’m excited:
I mean, have you read this summary?!
I can’t fucking wait for this! Illuminae is one of my favourite series, Jay Kristoff is one of my favourite authors, and this summary is everything!
That last sentence of the summary makes me think that everything is about to go down, and I’m here for it!
Since I’m living abroad I barely order books online, but I’ve had this pre-ordered for months now, and it will probably arrive in the middle of my exams, but you know I will start this immediately!
Come talk to me!
What is a book you’re looking forward to?
