All
sorcerers are evil. Elisabeth has known that as long as she has known anything.
Raised as a foundling in one of Austermeer’s Great Libraries, Elisabeth has

and rattle beneath iron chains. If provoked, they transform into grotesque
monsters of ink and leather. She hopes to become a warden, charged with
protecting the kingdom from their power.
Then an act of sabotage releases the library’s most dangerous grimoire. Elisabeth’s
desperate intervention implicates her in the crime, and she is torn from her
home to face justice in the capital. With no one to turn to but her sworn
enemy, the sorcerer Nathaniel Thorn, and his mysterious demonic servant, she
finds herself entangled in a centuries-old conspiracy. Not only could the Great
Libraries go up in flames, but the world along with them.
As her alliance with Nathaniel grows stronger, Elisabeth starts to question
everything she’s been taught—about sorcerers, about the libraries she loves,
even about herself. For Elisabeth has a power she has never guessed, and a
future she could never have imagined.
Why I’m excited:
An enchantment of ravens was just okay for me, but I really liked the idea/ originality of the story and her writing. So I’m really interested in what she is going to do next. Also her covers are beautiful! I think I will like this one better since the romance will be more on the background compared to in An enchantment of ravens.

I’m really excited for this book too! I enjoyed An Enchantment of Ravens, because I’m trash for fae, but I have to admit that this one sounds much more interesting. I’m also looking forward to The Starless Sea by Erin Morgenstern! It’s been years since she wrote The Night Circus so I’m thrilled to see what she’s come up with this time.
Yes me too!
Maybe that’s a sign I finally have to read The night circus.. !
I was only okay with Enchantment of Ravens too, but if I have time I’d like to take a look at this one!
Exactly!
I’m looking forward to DEV1AT3 by Jay Kristoff – the first book in that series blew me away.
Ooh I really need to read lifelike!
