My thoughts:
This books starts exactly where book 1 finished! So it was a really good thing that I listened to this one so close after the first book!
This book is still really interesting! And even more new things are introduced and it is really well done! I really like how the world is expanded and more ‘robots’ start to appear. Every time they think they know what is going on something new happens. This really makes you continue listening/ reading!
I think I also mentioned this in my review for book one, but in my opinion the ‘interviewer/narrator’ (idk how to describe him) is one of the best and most interesting characters! And I do like that we finally get some backstory of him.
I do have to say that I liked book one a bit more, I just really liked how all the alien stuff is introduced for the first time. Which of course is not possible in the second book. I do think the author did his best to introduce more new stuff, and he did that very well! But book one is still a little bit better in my opinion!
After the ending I really needed to start the third book right away!

My thoughts:
Wow time jump! Since book 2 starts immediately after book 1, I expected this one to start directly after the end of book 2. But that was not the case, it is like 10 years later.
In the beginning of this book the main characters are on the alien planet, and I really expected them to explore and learn a lot about the world. But that was not really the case, maybe they did but it is not really told in the book.
I was kind off annoyed by Vincent and Eva most of the book. Didn’t like what they were telling, didn’t like their choices, didn’t like how they acted towards each other.
Specific for the audiobook, but there was so much screaming! It made me want to turn off the audiobook, really didn’t like it, also it was hard to follow what they were saying when they were screaming..
Also this book is a bit slow. And this book is definitely my least favourite in the series. In my opinion the series started of fantastic, book 2 was still pretty good, but this one was just a bit of a disappointment. I will definitely still recommend book 1 as a good sci-fi book!
Come talk to me!
