Down the TBR hole #2

Down the TBR hole is a meme hosted by Lia @Lost in a story and its all about getting rid of books on your TBR shelf from books you’re never going to read and see what is actually there!

The rules:

  • Go to you to read shelf on GoodReads
  • Order on ascending date added
  • Take the first 5 (or more) books.
  • Read the synopsis of the books
  • Decide: keep it or should it go?

Okay I skipped a couple that I own and know that I will read, otherwise this list would only consist of books that I will keep.

A monster calls – Patrick Ness.

I love Patrick Ness, so even though this book does not necessarily sound like it’s for me, I will probably still read it.

Verdict: KEEP.

The queen of the tearling – Erika Johansen.

I just have something for books about ‘lost princesses’ so I feel like I just have to read this. But I have been saying this for long..

Verdict: KEEP for now

The alchemists of Loom – Elise Kova.

Ooh this is a hard one.. It kinda sounds interesting, but also a bit stereotypical. I think right now I’m more interested in her other series ‘air awakens’. Let me know what you think about this book.

Verdict: GO.

Given to the sea – Mindy McGinnis.

I’m again having a hard time. I have hard so much mixed things about this one. It sounds weird, but also quite appealing. Form all Mindy McGinnis’ books that I’ve seen this sounds the most interesting to me.

Verdict: KEEP.

Between the Blade and the Heart – Amanda Hocking.

I really like the fact that this is based on Norse Mythology, but I think I’m kinda done with Amanda Hocking?! I really liked her work in the past, but recently I’m not really enjoying the books I’ve read by her, maybe I’ve grown over her by now.

Verdict: GO.

The novice – Taran Matharu.

Okay I don’t think I ever read this synopsis (I just really love the cover)! This sounds so good, a magic school! I love that!

Verdict: KEEP.

Have you read these books? What did you think?
