Goodbye!

Hello!

After a lot of consideration I have decided to quit my blog! I´ve been doing this for the last 4 years, and I had a great time! I definitely enjoyed sharing my love for reading, and also reading blog posts from other readers and see their love for books!

But lately my interests have shifted, and now writing blog posts are starting to feel like an obligation. And that is not how I want to blog. Nor read. I have less time to read now, and sometimes I would ´force´ myself to read, since I ´have to´ read a certain amount of books. I feel like without having the pressure of the blog, I will enjoy my time reading more. Since I would pick up the book whenever I feel like reading instead of when I have to!

I will still be active on my Instagram @Evelynreads, and would love to see you around there! (I also have a twitter, @Evelynreads, but I don’t really use that hah)

  2. I will miss your posts but am happy to know you have many other things you enjoy that you are shifting your attention to. I can empathize with reading sometimes feeling like an obligation which is definitely a sign it’s time to take a break! Wishing you all the best

  4. Sorry to see you go Evelyn but I totally understand how you feel. I kind of miss that feeling of reading without thinking I had to blog about it lol. I’m taking a 2-3 week break on my blog soon because I have a trip to go on (finally!) and honestly I’m looking forward to just reading and not thinking of blogging. Just followed you on ig! Good luck with everything!

    1. Yeah I just want to read whenever and whatever I want, without having to think if it fits my blog!

  6. I’m sorry to see you go! I’ve always enjoyed your posts — but I get it, there have definitely times for me as well where blogging (and therefore, reading) ends up feeling more like an obligation than pleasure, and that’s when it’s time to reevaluate. Wishing you all the best!!

  7. I’ve enjoyed reading your posts over the last few years, and I totally understand what you mean! I quit blogging for a while some years ago now, too, and it felt really good. When I started up my new blog, I vowed to just read what I want, when I want, and to make my posting super casual. That helped a lot! Good luck in your future endeavors!

So I’m a little sad to see this goodbye, but at the same time I’m happy to see you making a decision that makes you happy. I hope you’ll find joy in whatever comes next. ❤️
