Reviewing graphic novels is quit hard in my opinion, especially because most of the time they are so short and I don’t want to spoil anything. Even though the three I want to talk about today were on the longer side, I still don’t have too much to say about them, but here are some short thoughts!

Title: Bloom.

My thoughts:
This was so cute! Exactly what I needed after some more dense books!
I just couldn’t get enough from Hector and Ari, I love how they developed a friendship that moved onto something more.
Also how Ari refound his love for the bakery was just sweet!
Basically, just read this if you’re in need of something cute and light-hearted!

My thoughts:
Total opposite of Bloom. I wasn’t really a fan of this one whatsoever.
I think this was the bind-up from volume 1 and 2, but I’m not 100% sure..
I kinda like the first 4 issues that were in here, but after that the story felt a bit all over the place, I was confused, and I didn’t really care for any of the characters. I think I just didn’t get it?!
I’m not sure what I was supposed to be feeling about this, I didn’t care, I didn’t think it was funny? Guess it just wasn’t for me, and I will definitely not continue on with this one.
(after writing this I read some other reviews, many people call this confusing, so maybe it is not fully on me..)

Title: Laura Dean keeps breaking up with me.
Author: Mariko Tamaki.

Page count: 304.

Genre: YA, contemporary
Rating: 3 stars.

My thoughts:
Back to another cutesy read!
I expected to love this one like bloom, unfortunately I did not. I mean it was still good and kinda cute! But Laura Dean was just way to frustrating for me, and I didn’t like how Freddy acted around her. But then that was the main ‘problem’ to solve in this story, and it was done pretty well!
I really liked the art style, with the occasional pink details!
But if I have to recommend this one or Bloom, it will definitely be Bloom!
I REALLY want to read “Bloom” — it seems so wholesome!
It really is!
