My thoughts:
Honestly I do not know how to review this book. I could not give you a synopsis whatsoever, but I absolutely loved it!
This book reminded me a bit of Wilder Girls and Burn Our Bodies Down, because of the weird and strange things that were happening. But somehow also a bit of House of Salt and Sorrow, maybe because of the writing?
I was hooked by this book from pages 1! The mystery of this book immediately starts in the first chapter, and you just want to know what has happened to these three sisters when they were little.
We read this book from Iris’ perspective, the youngest Hollow sister. But the book is about all three Hollow sisters, and the weird things that are happening to them now while we’re figuring out what has happened to them in the past. We slowly learn more and more about their backstories! Same for one of the side characters, Tyler, who I really liked!
The dialogue between the characters was so good, and very realistic!
I absolutely loved the setting in this book! It was all so well described, I could imagine everything, even though some of the things were so weird! Very creepy but atmospheric!
Both the dialogue and setting were so good, because the authors writing is amazing!
I just could not put this book down, and definitely stayed up too late to read one (five) more chapters!
This author has written two (?) books before this one, they don’t really sound like my thing, but I will definitely look into whatever she will write next!
