I’m reading so much lately!!
I’ve only read three 5 star reads, of which one was a reread, and quite a lot of 3 star reads. But nevertheless, it was a good reading month.
From the books I put on my TBR (13) I actually read 9 books, so pretty proud of that! And I definitely read some sequels, which was my plan, so happy about that!
Time for some stats, because I love stats!
I’m actually surprised that I read almost as much books from male authors as from female authors, most of the time it is definitely more female.
So now for the books I’ve read:
The goblins of Bellwater by Molly Ringle. E-arc from NetGalley. 3 stars.
This book had an interesting concept, but could’ve been executed better! Check my full review here!
Magnus Chase and the sword of summer by Rick Riordan. Audiobook. 3.5 stars.
Really fun to listen too, but I did not keep my attention the whole book through. Review of the whole trilogy will be posted soon!
Crystal storm by Morgan Rhodes. Hardcover. 4 stars.
Not my favourite in this series but was still good and I could see my characters back <3
Saga vol. 7 by Brian K Vaughn. Paperback. 4 stars.
This volume actually made me cry (nor really though, since I do not cry in books). It was sad, but I just love this graphic novel series so much!
Fawkes by Nadine Brandes. E-arc from NetGalley. 4 stars.
This was a really interesting story; there were some parts I was not the biggest fan of though. Check my full review here!
To kill a kingdom by Alexandra Christo. Audiobook. 3 stars.
Good concept, I’m glad I listened to the audiobook, because I probably would have skimmed read quite a lot. Check out my full review here!
Harry Potter and the order of the Phoenix by JK Rowling. Hardcover. 5 stars.
Reread, obviously, loved it, obviously. I actually do think this is my fave (don’t I say that with every HP book??)
Saga vol. 8 by Brian K Vaughn. Paperback. 4 stars.
Had to read this soon after vol. 7, loved this one as well. I’m sad that I am now fully caught up on the series, and have to wait for the next volume.
Magnus Chase and the hammer of Thor by Rick Riordan. Audiobook. 3 stars.
This book was enjoyable, liked it less than book 1, still had issues sometimes with keeping my attention. Again review of the trilogy will be posted soon!
Legendary by Stephanie Garber. Paperback. 5 stars.
This was 102% the best book I’ve read this month! I loved this book so much better than the first book, I just could not put it down J Check my review here!
The wind in the willows by Kenneth Grahame. Hardcover. 3 stars.
This book was just okay. Enjoyed it, but was boring at times.
Daughter of the pirate king by Tricia Levenseller. Audiobook. 3.5 stars.
Interesting story, a bit predictable, but I am really excited for the next book. Check my full review here!
The book knights by JG McKenney. E-arc from NetGalley. 3 stars.
Really interesting concept, but I needed more from this book. This story needed a bit more explanation. Check my full review here!
The ask and the answer by Patrick Ness. Paperback. 4.5 stars.
This was a really good sequel! Really excited to read the next book soon! I was a bit annoyed by that some words were written wrongly on purpose.
Magnus Chase and the ship of the dead by Rick Riordan. Audiobook. 3 stars.
I definitely liked the first book the best, but this was a really good ending! And yet again, review of the trilogy will be posted soon.
Sailor moon #2 by Naoko Takeuchi. Paperback. 4 stars.
This series is so cute! I love this girl groups with power haha. Will read the next volume soon!
The heart of betrayal by Mary E Pearson. Hardcover. 2.5 stars.
This book was really disappointing. After book 1 my expectations were really high, but nothing really happened in this book.
Immortal reign by Morgan Rhodes. Hardcover. 5 stars.
I just love this series soo much! It was not the most perfect book, but because of the characters and the ending it still deserved full stars.
The crown of embers by Rae Carson. Paperback. 3 stars.
The beginning was quite boring, but I really enjoyed the ending! I’m excited to read the next book soon!
Come talk to me!
