This week’s topic is ‘Are big TBRs a result of abibliophobia?’, interesting topic! Learned a new word today!
Abibliophobia is the fear of running out of reading material.
Do you have abibliophobia?
Definitely not! I’m more overwhelmed by everything I still ‘have to’ read! At the moment of writing this I own 12 unread physical books (and 10 more on the way/preordered), and I already feel stressed out about reading all of these! Let alone all the books I still really want to read!
So no abibliophobia for me!
Do you add books to your TBR to keep it big, or is it a place where you keep books that seem interesting?
No I buy books because I want to read them immediately, and then end up not doing that haha!
My GoodReads TBR are just all the books I heard about and sounded slightly interesting! So that one is ever growing!
Do you have multiple TBRs?
I have my TBR of books that I own and the one that I have on GoodReads! Which I basically just explained. My physical TBR are books I’m planning on reading soonish, and my GoodReads TBR are all the books that sound slightly interesting/anticipated releases from favourite authors/sequels etc!
I also do have a 2021 TBR, of 21 books I hope to read this year!
If you don’t have a TBR, how do you find your next read?
Well I make a TBR at the beginning of the month, and I basically just follow that list until I finish it haha! And if I near the end I already pick out a next one, even though I still have one or two left on the list! I’m one of those readers who reads of a list instead of mood reads haha! (although sometimes I really feel like picking up a certain book, and I will!)
