I always love reading this tag! So I thought I would do it as well! I also did it last year, which you can read over here!
Best book you’ve read so far in 2020
City of brass by SA Chakraborty! There are so many more, but saving some for other answers!

Best sequel you’ve read so far in 2020
Heart of flames by Nicki Pau-Preto! I love this series, I can’t wait for the last book!

New release you haven’t read yet but want to
So many! The first two coming to mind are; Scavenge the stars by Tara Sim and The ballad of songbirds and snakes by Suzanne Collins!

Most anticipated release for the second half of the year
Again so many, to just name three:
The invisible life Addie La Rue by VE Schwab
Burn our bodies down by Rory Power
The burning god by RF Kuang

Biggest disappointment
Winterwood by Shea Ernshaw! I absolutely loved The wicked deep, so I was so excited for this book, but I didn’t like it at all..

Biggest surprise
Gods of Jade and shadows by Silvia Moreno-Garcia! I expected to enjoy this one, but not love it as much as I did! I now need to read everything she has written!

Favourite new author
Sabaa Tahir! I finally picked up An ember in the ashes this year, and absolutely loved it! I quickly read the two sequels as well, and now can’t wait for the last one!
Newest fictional crush
I don’t really do crushes?! Tell me some of yours!
Newest favourite characters
Nahri from City of brass and Laia from An ember in the ashes!
Book that made you cry
I don’t think I have cried while reading a book this year, I rarely do! The kite runner by Khaled Hosseini was quite sad though!
Book that made you happy
Quite many actually! A pinch of magic by Michelle Harrison is the first one coming to mind!

Favourite book to film adaptation
Little women!
Favourite post you have done this year
Mm I have no idea! I really like making lists for Top Ten Tuesday, Top Five Tuesday and Top Five Saturday!
Most beautiful book you’ve bought this year
I haven’t bought many books, but I really love the edition of Mort by Terry Pratchett that I bought!

What book do you need to read by the end of the year
Oh all of them! Some of the books on my 2020 TBR that I haven’t read yet are The eye of the world by Robert Jordan and The three body problem by Liu Cixin!
I love the clothbound editions of the Discworld series, but I will likely never own them. I already have the entire series in the cartoon type covers and I just could not even fathom buying the whole set again!!
With this series that would be way too much haha! Since I’m only starting now, I think I could haha
Although I like those cartoon covers as well!
Great post! I still need to read Sabaa Tahir! I’ve heard great things about her books 🙂
Ooh soon you can binge the whole series haha! I hope you will love her work!
City of Brass was just so good. Hope you enjoy the conclusion!
Can’t wait to continue!
I am so excited for The burning god!! Great answers.
This conclusion is bound to be great!
I am looking forward to The invisible life Addie La Rue as well, I have it preordered and I can’t wait to get it on my doorstep. TheKite Runner is for sure a heart wrenching read, but such a great one too. I Hope your second half of the year is amazing!
