I don’t know why I decided to torture myself to write this post. But I decided to make a list with my top 10 all-time favourite books (at this moment)!
So first I thought ‘Oh I will quickly make my list with 10 books’.. Well that proved to be impossible! So I decided to make 2 lists.. One being my top 10 Adult books, and the other my top 10 YA books!
If I have a review up it is linked! Also if I name the first book in the series, you can assume I love the whole series ahah!
So let’s start with the YA books, in no particular order:

- Wilder Girls by Rory Power
- Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo
- The City of Brass by SA Chakraborty – I cannot wait to pick up the last book!
- The Bear and the Nightingale by Katherine Arden
- An Ember in the Ashes by Sabaa Tahir – Can’t wait for the release of the conclusion!
- Scythe by Neal Shusterman
- Truthwitch by Susan Dennard – Witchshadow cannot come quickly enough!
- Shadow of the Fox by Julie Kagawa
- Crown of Feathers by Nicki Pao Preto – Another series where I’m (im)patiently waiting for the conclusion!
- Anne of Green Gables by LM Montgomery

And now for the Adult books, also in no particular order:

- A Darker Shade of Magic by VE Schwab – I desperately need to reread this!
- Vicious by VE Schwab
- Nevernight by Jay Kristoff
- The Final Empire by Brandon Sanderson – Another reread that is very necessary!
- Warbreaker by Brandon Sanderson
- Assassin’s Apprentice by Robin Hobb – I soon need to read other books in the elderling series!
- The Eye of the World by Robert Jordan – I think this is my most recent favourite series, need to continue ASAP!
- Middlegame by Seanan McGuire
- The Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss – That third book though?!??
- The Poppy War by RF Kuang – Is it November yet???!

So these are my ‘top 10’’s with favourite books.. This was so hard haha!
I really enjoyed Vicious! I have yet to read the second book, but I’m looking forward to it! This looks like an awesome bunch of books. Thanks for sharing!
I hope you do! it is so good!
Great list – I love some of your choices on here. Particularly Chakraborty, Arden and Kagawa.
Lynn 😀
Yess they are so good!
Hah! It is like torture trying to decide favorites. Happy to see City of Brass here as well as a couple of others I love. Great list!
It really is haha!
Thanks!
Six of Crows is definitely one of my faves. I bought and still have to read Crown of Feathers & An Ember in the Ashes. I haven’t read The Poppy War yet, but I recently won The Burning God in a Goodreads giveaway, so I’m thinking of bingeing the whole series.
Ooh I hope you will enjoy all of those as well!
I’m planning on bingeing the poppy war as well once book three releases! (Just really want to reread haha)
We actually have quite a lot of these in common Out of the ones I’ve read, the only ones I don’t agree on are Truthwitch (I have a very unpopular opinion there, it seems ) and The Eye of the World (I thought the second half dragged, but I did like it enough that I want to continue on with the series!). I haven’t read Wilder Girls, The Bear and the Nightingale, Shadow and Fox, Crown of Feathers, and Middlegame yet, so maybe I’ll have to try some of them next! I’ve had my eye on The Bear and the Nightingale for quite some time anyway… (And yes, Patrick Rothfuss should get a move on already!)
Ooh that’s good to hear!
Well, obviously I loved truthwitch and the eye of the world
Although I can see why you would say that the eye of the world dragged a bit! I hope you will enjoy the sequel more!
I hope you end up loving the others if/when you pick them up!
Loved Wilder Girls, Six of Crow, Ember in the Ashes! Still want to read Nevernight and start a V.E. Schwab book. Great list of books~
Ooh I hope you will love those as well!
I’m so happy to see The Winternight trilogy, Shades of Magic, and Vicious, they are my favorite too! There are so many books from this list that I still need to list, but I can see some of them becoming my new favorites 🙂
Glad to hear that they are also you’re favourites!
I hope you will read and loved the others too!
