Just like many others, I participated in the OWL readathon this month! I was aiming for all the OWLs since those are needed to become a Alchemist, but my back-up plan was becoming a magizoologist, since for that I needed way less OWLs. I’m happy to say that I (just) managed to pass all the OWLs!!
Since I went away this month, I read way less then that I normally do, so maybe this will finally be a normal length wrap-up! (my stats will be at the end of the post!)
Ancient runes (retelling) – Hunted by Meagan Spooner. I listened to this one on audio, and I have to admit I was kinda disappointed.. after this one I’ve ‘decided’ that beauty and the beast retellings are not for me. See my review here!
Arithmancy (work written by more than one author) – The red scrolls of magic by Cassandra Clare and Wesley Chu (on audio). I loved seeing more of my favourite couple! They are so cute together! But so far it hasn’t beaten my love for TDA. My review will be uploaded later this week!
Astronomy (‘star’ in the title) – Of fire and stars by Audrey Coulthurst. Another audiobook! I would not have picked this one up if not for the OWLs, I didn’t have high expectations, and was still let down.. I just don’t like to romance heavy fantasy books. My review can be found here!

Care of magical creatures(Land animal on the cover) – The dreadful tale of prosper redding by Alexandra Bracken. I’m so happy I finally read this! I was feeling kinda slumpy after traveling and reading 3 books I didn’t really like, but this book helped me. Can’t wait to continue! Review is up later this week!
Charms (Age line: read an adult book) – Do you dream of Terra two? By Temi Oh. Favourite of the month! I absolutely adorded this book and I need more of this author and more sci-fi in my life! I really hope she will write more! My review can be found here!
Defence against the dark arts (reducto: title starts with R) – Recreated by Colleen Houck. Another disappointment.. I qute enjoyed the first book, but this one was actually a bit boring and too many details were given. I will probably still try out here other series! Review is coming!

Divination (Set in the future) – Leviathan wakes by James SA Corey. Another sci-fi! I’m in such a sci-fi mood, I need to find more great ones! I loved this, and I will (hopefully) soon continue this series! Review is coming soon!
Herbology (plant on the cover) – Hazel and Holly by Sarah C Snider. This was an arc, and I’m sad to say that I actually DNF’ed this book.. But since I still read almost 300 pages I will still count it! (Hopefully no one gets mad at me far that haha). Review is coming later this week!
History of magic (Published 10 years ago) – Coraline by Neil Gaiman (audio). I was actually planning on reading Madame Bovary, but found out that the only way I would be able to manage that would be with the audiobook, which I didn’t want so had to switch. I’m not sure if I would have read this book otherwise but this was a weird but enjoyable read! Short review will be coming!

Muggle studies (contemporary) – The duchess deal by Tessa Dare. Not my favourite of hers, but it was nice and short and I think that’s the reason why I finished my OWLs on time haha.
Potions (sequel) – Sapphire blue by Kerstin Gier. This was a reread for me after quite a long time. It wasn’t as good as I remembered, but I still enjoyed this. I actually wrote a review but it is crappy so I might never post it..
Transfiguration (sprayed edges/ red cover) – The devil’s thief by Lisa Maxwell (on audio). I absolutely loved book one, I liked this one slightly less, but it was still really good and I cannot wait for the third book! Review is coming!

Other books I somehow managed to read:
My sister, the serial killer by Oyinkan Braithwaite. Honestly how couldn’t I read a book with such an amazing title! Short review is coming!

Here are my stats!
My ratings are literarily all over the place, but I’m really happy with the amount of ebooks I read this month! Finally getting to some books that have been on there forever!

I seriously hope you kill the Alchemist prompts in the NEWTs later this year!!
I hope so to, if I remember correctly I need to read 17 things to pass all the required things
Oh my gosh that’s amazing you finished all the prompts! I went for the Librarian career and only needed 5 challenges and still barely finished haha.
Hahha thanks ☺️
Congratulations on completing all the prompts! That’s so impressive. My favorite read this month was Scythe by Neal Shusterman.
Oh I love that one!
