What is it about?
The town of Sparrow is cursed..
This happened because two centuries before this story takes place three beautiful sisters were convicted of witchcraft and were therefore drowned. Since then each June these three sisters take over a body of a girl to take revenge, they do this by luring boys in the water and pulling them under.
Penny Talbot lives on the island really close to Sparrow. She has seen boys drown year after year. This year, however, Bo Carter arrives, on the same day as the return of the sisters. Bo is unaware of the danger of this town, and his arrival will change everything.
What I think:
So obviously, since I gave this book 5 stars, I loved this book!!
This book kept me wanting to continue reading, and not continue reading since I did not want this book to be over, but I needed to know what was happening –> DILMEMMA!
This book is really interesting, the characters are really well developed, the writing is A-MA-ZING!
I kept guessing which girls were possessed by one of the sisters, kept trying to guess which boy would drown, and once we were past that point I was so curious what was going to happen with the sisters and the situation they’ve gotten themselves into. So I really liked the mystery part of this book!
Also I was really surprised by the plot twist! I do get why people see the one in the middle coming. I just read this book so fast that I did not give myself enough time to think over it hahah..
But the plot twist at the ending.. I think I literally read with my mounth hanging open haha (luckily I was reading at home (; )
AND I just LOVED this book okay?!
Shea Ernshaw needs to write more books! I will buy them!
Recommend for:
Everyone should read this!!
You definitely do not need to like witches, since it is not really a big part of this story.
It is a really quick read, so if you need something that reads quite easily, this one is really good for that!
