3 books I don’t have much to say about, but I would like to say something haha. These books have nothing in common and I felt very different about all of them!

Call down the hawk by Maggie Stiefvater
Rating: 4 stars!
I really enjoyed this book! I absolutely loved Ronan’s story, Jordan was also very interesting! I was a bit confused about Carmen’s part, but I’m pretty sure her part will be more important in the sequel! Also Matthew is the best! I love him!
There wasn’t as much Ronan and Adam scene’s as I would have loved. But I saw Lala @booksandlala in YouTube say, and I agree, that if Adam was more present, there probably would have to be drama between them for there to be a ‘good’ story, and we don’t want that. So I feel like the scene’s we got were satisfactory!
So my main reason for taking a star is Carmen’s part. But I’m very excited for the sequel!

Ninth House by Leigh Bardugo
Rating: DNF @232 pages.
I wanted to love this book SO bad! Before reading this book I considered Leigh Bardugo as one of my favourite authors, but now I don’t think I will anymore. This is the only book that she has written that is not in the grishaverse, and I didn’t enjoy it. So I guess I will just consider the grishaverse as a favourite!
I’m not sure if I can explain why I didn’t enjoy this one, I loved the idea of this book. All those cults at Yale, and them doing weird stuff, and Alex having to make sure they don’t do anything illegal.
But I struggled so much with reading the first half of the book, I just didn’t want to pick it back up. I wasn’t really sure what was happening at all, I didn’t care about this girl that was murdered and how it was related to these houses. I think my main problem was that there was lots of information about different houses and rituals, and also I just didn’t care enough..
The only thing I was really interested in was Darlington, but he wasn’t really there, and I didn’t think he was enough reason for me to continue on.
I’m very sad about not liking this, but I want to read books I enjoy, but I might try this one again later!

The tyrant’s tomb by Rick Riordan
Rating: 4.5 stars!
I just love Rick Riordan’s books! His writing is the best, and I just can’t put down the book!
I listened to this one on audio and often found myself playing games on my phone, just so that I could listen a bit longer. This book is so fast-paced, I love the humour and the different relations developing between the characters! I love how Apollo’s character is developing throughout this series, and Meg is just the best!
If you’re into audiobooks, I definitely recommend listening to this series, or any of the other books by Rick Riordan!
I really don’t have much to say about this one, just pick up this series if you haven’t already! I can’t wait for the last book to release next year!
“There wasn’t as much Ronan and Adam scene’s as I would have loved. So I feel like the scene’s we got were satisfactory!” I agree 1000% with all of this, I feel the same exact way. On the one hand I would have LOVED more Ronan / Adam but on the other hand…. Plus I think they both need to find their own way for a bit. I can’t wait for the next book in this series.
She was saying that, and I was like ‘yes exactly!!’
I’m so excited for the next one!
I’m going to have to check out Call Down the Hawk. I haven’t read one of her books in a while, but I do like her writing style. I’m sorry Ninth House didn’t work for you — I ended up loving it, but at the same time, I was pretty frustrated at times by all the houses and the different magics and how much there was to keep track of.
The writing is so good in this one!
Yeah i feel like it’s either love or hate for Ninth house ahha! A list at the beginning would have been very helpful haha!
I really enjoyed Call Down the Hawk, I thought the magic was so cool and I loved exploring the different characters!! I think Carmen’s was least favourite POV too and I’m very excited for the sequel!!
I really enjoyed Ninth House myself but I can also see why not everyone would love it. I’m sorry this one wasn’t for you.
I really want to read some of Rick Riordan’s books!!
I can’t wait for the next book in the dreamer trilogy, and learn even more from the world!
I feel like people either love or hate Ninth house haha!
