My thoughts:
I think this was my favourite of the three! Book two definitely suffered from middle book syndrome, and almost made me skip on this one, but I’m happy that I continued!
My two struggles with the previous book were; boring main character and the writing. I don’t know how but both were mainly resolved in this one?
Joron gets way more responsibility in this book compared to the previous two, meaning that he actually had to make decisions, instead of relying on others to make decisions. I also really liked how he became a way stronger character because of this. I really got invested in his, Maes and the crew of the Tide Child story!
For the writing, I think I both got more used to it and the seafaring specific writing was a bit less overdone, so that made it feel less overwhelming!
I really liked the plot in this one as well! Way more piratey compared to the previous books, that is what I thought I signed up for haha! Also the dragons played a bigger part here, not as big as I would have wanted bit still more!
This is definitely a series worth binging, since there are no recaps, and they all start immediately after each other!
