Recently I read 3 conclusions to three different series. Since I didn’t review the earlier books I felt weird writing full reviews on them. So here are some of my quick thoughts on them!
The toll by Neal Shusterman
Rating: 5 stars!
I absolutely loved this book! And this series! Neal Shusterman is officially one of my favourite authors, even though I only read one other book by him! (Challenger deep, which was also very good)
I just really loved the writing, the world and the characters.
The ending of this series took a different direction then that I had expected, which I really liked, because it did really fit the story! Were all my questions answered in this conclusion? No. Do I mind? No not really!
I can’t wait to see what Neal Shusterman publishes next, and I really should pick up some of his older works!
The winter of the witch by Katherine Arden
Rating: 4 stars!
This was such a good series, and I’m kinda sad that it is over! This is another author of who I cannot wait to see what she writes next!
This is the perfect series for winter time, so if you haven’t read this one yet, pick it up right now!
The writing in this series is gorgeous! I absolutely love the relation between Vasya and her siblings, it feels so pure!
The ending of this series was so fitting! I have to admit the ‘big’ event at the ending is based on some real events, that I’m totally unfamiliar with. That’s just me being ignorant about history, but it did make me enjoy the story a little bit less, hence the reduction of one star! So probably if you are more familiar with Russian history, you would like it even more!
The queen of nothing by Holly Black
Rating: 4 stars!
I don’t really know what to say about this one, I read it so fast! Which is one of the things I really like about Holly Black, her writing reads so easily!
I love the relation between Carden and Jude, I love Vivi and Heather, still not really sure what I think about Taryn though.. Also Oak is too cute!
I really enjoyed this ending, but I don’t think this one is my favourite of the series, that might be the cruel prince!
Again, really curious to what she writes next. Also I think I have some of her backlist books still to read!
I feel like these reviews are all pretty short haha. I just don’t really know how to review conclusions, since I obviously don’t want to spoil anything!

I liked it, I thought it was a perfectly good book, but it also felt like it was lacking some of the tension from earlier in the series. Still a good one though! Nice reviews. 🙂

I’m so happy you enjoyed all these books! I only have read Winter of the Witch and I agree, it’s such a perfect conclusion even though it’s based on historical events I don’t really know about. I love the characters and the world so much!
