My thoughts:
Omg, this book made me realise that I really need to read more mystery/thriller, since I freaking loved this! I could not put it down, and when I did, I could not stop thinking about it!
From the start you know a child has died, but you don’t know which one. So you keep guessing which one will die, or at least I did. As soon as Rowan starts nannying in this ‘smart’ home, she hears unexplainable noises, doors keep opening of which she knows she closed them and stuff like that. And of course there are ghost stories about this house. And even though you know ghosts don’t exist, you start doubting yourself, just like Rowan.
The other creepy thing is that this house is almost fully controlled by this app, and this app is scary, and can do almost everything, sees everything, knows everything.. Technology is scary at times!
I have to admit, I did guess some of the ending, definitely not all! And it was done so well! I just loved this, and I have to pick up all her other works ASAP!
Tbh, I have no idea why I gave all the categories 9/10 and not 10, I just feel weird giving books 10/10 haha!

My thoughts:
You know, my main problem with this book was that I just was not sure what we were trying to figure out?! I know it was not a mystery, more like a thriller. But first it was about morality study, which asked a bit weird questions. Then more into Dr. Shields, and her life. And there were just so many things to guess at, and that we learned more about throughout the book. I don’t really know how to explain it, especially without spoiling anything.
To me the plot just felt a bit messy, since we kept focussing on different things and different people and their lives. But this can also just be me having not read many thrillers, so I don’t know what to expect haha!
I just really don’t know what to write about this book, I did enjoy the overall plot, but I feel like the different parts could have been better connected?
This was probably not a very helpful review haha, but here are my messy thoughts!
I LOVED The Turn of the Key! I knew I had to read more of Ware’s books soon as I finished it! The only other one I’ve tried so far is The Death of Mrs. Westaway and I loved it just as much!
I really want to read all her work now! Glad you loved it as well!
