About the meme:

This week’s meme is unpopular bookish opinions! I actually don’t think I have that many haha, but here are some:

  1. I love cracking the spine of my paperbacks, it reads way more conveniently!
  2. I don’t like Lord of the Rings, the books at least, I should rewatch the movies to form an opinion on those.
  3. I didn’t like The fault in our stars.
  4. I don’t like Jace from the mortal instruments.
  5. I really didn’t like A curse so dark an lonely.
  6. I have no interest at all in reading the Shatter me series. I have actually read book one, but literary can’t remember anything.

  1. I also like to crack the spines on my paperbacks, haha! Definitely easier to read and I don’t feel like I have to keep pbs in pristine condition… I should stop buying hardcovers to be honest…

    1. Haha it’s definitely easier to read! And I think my books are allowed to look like they have been read haha 🙂

  2. I actually really loved the LOTR books, but they took a lot of dedication to get through (especially #2). Still, the movies are probably closer to my heart than the books. I mean, Viggo IS Aragorn. 🙂 Have to disagree with you on the cracked spines — I love paperbacks, but I like to keep my books as pristine as possible. (That said, I have a couple of Stephen King and Outlander books that finally gave up completely after enough years of rereading, to the point where the pages were coming out!) Gosh, it’s been so long since I read any of the Shadowhunter books, so I don’t even remember how I felt about Jace. Great list!

    1. Hahah yeah lotr has many lovers! I think I actually gave up halfway book two haha! I really have to rewatch the movies, since i think i really did like those!
For me cracking spines is satisfying haha, but i get that they look better not cracked!

  3. I love and don’t love cracking the spine … it’s like I’m breaking my book, but it’s so satisfying!!

I can’t say I don’t like the LOTR books since i haven’t read them … but I don’t know if I want to … I loved The Hobbit, but the series seems daunting. Love the films though!

No interest in the Shatter series either … which is fine, because I have so many other books.

AND YES! I finally met someone who doesn’t care for Jace!! Like, I don’t HATE him, but he’s not my fav. If I was Clary, I would’ve fallen for Simon ha-ha!

    Great post!

    1. I also loved the hobbit!
And yes enough other books out there!
And Jace.. I just don’t understand the hype I guess haha

  4. Agree with The Lord of the Rings! I love the movies, but I can’t get into the books. The only book I liked was The Hobbit and that took a few weeks for me to get through. I don’t think I’ve read more than a chapter in The Fellowship of the Ring.

  5. Agreed about not being interested in reading the Shatter Me series! I remember checking it out of the library when there was a lot of hype about it a few years ago, but I just couldn’t bring myself to start it.

    1. I actually read the first one and don’t remember a thing..
