About the meme:
Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish, but is now moved to That Artsy Reader Girl! The read more about this meme, look at this page!
This week’s meme is Backlist books I want to read. So I thought I would be smart and look at my want to read list on GoodReads, and order on publication date. And then of course I only got classics.. But I managed to get a list, here it is:
- The three musketeers – Alexandre Dumas. Published in 1844.
This is a classic I have been wanting to read for a really long time! Ever since I saw the movie released in 2011. But I’m scared of reading it, because what if I don’t like it.. But I guess I will just have to read and see.
- Tess of the D’Urbervilles – Thomas Hardy. Published 1891.
I started reading classics at the end of 2016, and this is one that immediately got my attention. But there is actually no reason for me not having read this yet, maybe I should put it on my list for 2019!
- The Hound of the Baskervilles – Arthur Conan Doyle. Published in 1902.
Same story as Tess of the D’Urbervilles.
- The thief – Megan Whalen Turner. Published in 1996.
I heard about this book on PeruseProject booktube channel. And ever since I keep seeing it everywhere, I just think this is an fantasy series I will really love. I even already bought the ebook (like a year ago..), so in theory I should be able to read it anytime haha.
- The book thief – Markus Zusak. Published in 2005.
I know, I know, I have not read this.. I want to read because everyone seem sto love it. But I’m actually not sure if this is something for me. I normally don’t enjoy historical books..
- Elantris – Brandon Sanderson. Published in 2005.
I just need to read all Brandon Sanderson books, since I absolutely love the mistborn series!
- The name of the wind – Partick Rothfuss. Published in 2007.
Another fantasy book I know I will love! I’m actually planning on reading this book in December. So that will mean I can at least cross of one book of this list!
- Rosemary and rue – Seanan McGuire. Published in 2009.
I’ve really enjoyed her wayward children series. And one of my friends recommended me this book. So two great reasons for me to read this book.
- The demon king – Cinda Williams Chima. Published in 2009.
I don’t even know what to say about this book what is not the same as the previous comments haha.
- The black Prism – Brent Weeks. Published in 2010.
Again another book I just think I will love!
Come talk to me!
What is a backlist book you really want to read?

The Book Thief is one of the first hist. fic. books I ever read and I loved it. I didn’t feel like I was reading a history textbook or being force fed facts; it was really just an emotional journey into the main character, Liesel’s, life. Not sure if that’s *why* you’re not the hugest fan of historical fiction, but it’s pro for me!
The reason I don’t like historical fiction is indeed that I’m not interested in the facts.
But if that’s not really important for the book, that makes me wzy more interested in the story! Thanks for telling me! 🙂
