This week’s meme is Books I want to see adapted! I’m always a bit hesitant about book adaptations, they can go so wrong.. But here are some that would be great:
- Spellbook of the Lost and Found By Moïra Fowley-Doyle – I think this would be such an atmospheric movie!
- Caraval by Stephanie Garber – I think this could be amazing with the Caraval!
- The Raven Boys by Maggie Stiefvater – Again this could be so atmospheric!
- Illuminae by Jay Kristoff and Amie Kaufman – This would be hard, but could be amazing!
- The Rest of Us Just Live Here by Patrick Ness – I mainly mean the concept for this one, could be such an interesting movie!
- Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo – Kinda cheating, but I can’t wait!
- Kiss of Deception by Mary E Pearson – I think this would be so nice to see.
- City of Ghosts by Victoria Schwab – This would be so much fun!
- Percy Jackson by Rick Riordan – Again a bit cheating, since the new adaptation is already in the making I believe!
- Lumberjanes by Noelle Stevenson – I would love to see this!
I’m excited and nervous for The Raven Cycle adaptation. It could go either way. 😉

I love your list! I don’t know if the Illuminae movie is still in the works but I think it is, I feel like Jay has mentioned it fairly recently on his instagram! I’m really nervous about the Raven Cycle show, though. And yes please to a Spellbook movie!

I would LOVE a Raven Boys adaptation! It’s got a lot going on for it too as far as a tv adaptation, someone should get on it and make it happen. 🙂

“Illuminae” and “The Raven Boys” are on my list too. I only know about “The Raven Boys” getting a tv show though. Hopefully it will be good and won’t ruin the book series for me. *lol* Great list, Evelyn! =)

The Raven Cycle IS being adapted!! Maggie write the pilot script for it. I think she said it’s happening on SyFy (but I could be wrong because it’s not a network we get in Australia)!!

Fab list, and I definitely agree with Six of Crows, Illuminae, City of Ghosts, The Rest of Us Just Live Here! Those books are amazing and I would love to see them get adapted.
