About the meme:
Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish, but is now moved to That Artsy Reader Girl! The read more about this meme, look at this page!
This week’s meme is a freebie! I really enjoyed looking back at an older post a couple of weeks ago, so I thought I would do that again! In the end of 2018 the topic was ‘Backlist books I want to read’, I think it would be fun to see if I’ve read those books by now!

- The three musketeers by Alexandre Dumas – Read it!
- Tess of D’Urbervilles by Thomas Hardy – Read it!
- The Hound of the Baskervilles by Arthur Conan Doyle – Not read, but also I do not have interest in reading this anymore!
- The thief by Megan Whalen Turner – Read it! I think I read 4 books from the series, was not a big fan though.
- The book thief by Markus Zusak – Not read, and honestly I don’t think I ever will..
- Elantris by Brandon Sanderson – Read it! Earlier this month ahha
- The name of the wind by Patrick Rothfuss – Read it! Absolutely loved it!
- Rosemary and Rue by Seanon McGuire – Read it! It was okay, but won’t continue the series.
- The demon king by Cinda Williams Chima – Not read, but still really want to!
- The black prism by Brent Weeks – Not read, but I recently bought it, so I think I will read it soon!

6/10, pretty good I would say, especially since 2 of the others I will probably never read!
I should make a new list of these, and see in a year if I’ve read them!
Oh gosh, I think these are all on my TBR, too, and now I feel called out. xD It’s so neat that you looked back on your old post, though. I’m glad you did end up reading Elantris. It was one of the first Sanderson books I read, and I loved it. 😀 I still need to read Name of the Wind, but I’m waiting for the third book to officially come out, so I can just piggyback the entire series haha. I’ve learned from everyone else’s suffering.
Haha sorry
Elantris was very good! I can totally see why you wait with the name of the wind! It is such a good book though!
Great job! This is a cool post idea. I’m scared to look back at past TBRs. I know I haven’t read a bunch of them!
Hahah, I was actually very surprised by how well I did!
I love this choice for the freebie! I will never stop being amazing by how much I love Sherlock Holmes as a character and absolutely despise reading Conan Doyle’s stories. Why is that??
The Three Musketeers was amazing, I hope you get a chance to crack into it sometime soon!

Hahaha interesting! Very curious to what I will think!
Oh wow, you’ve done a great job getting to most of the books on this list! I’m impressed. I still need to read The Three Muskateers.
I was impressed as well haha!
I hope you will like it!
I thought The Black Prism was excellent! I hope you enjoy it 😀 And well done for ticking so many of these off your backlist… mine is incredibly daunting at the moment!!
Ooh good to hear, makes me more excited to read it!
I have so many of these on my TBR still it’s embarrassing!!
Haha I hope you manage to read them at some point!
Great progress on this list, you have some awesome books on it as well. I only have two more books that I bought before 2020 that I still need to read. One is The Comedy of Errors by William Shakespeare, which I got in November 2019 I think. The second is March by Garaldine Brooks, which I picked up in December 2019.
Ooh would be nice if you manage to read them this year!
Nice post, and congrats on reading so many of your backlist books! I need to make more time for backlist books — it’s too easy to get caught up in new releases and ignore older books. I’m sorry you didn’t enjoy Rosemary & Rue enough to continue — it’s honestly one of my very favorite series!
I reslly have been trying to read more backlist this year, and I´ve been enjoying it a lot!
But indeed new releases are so tempting!
I heard so many great things about rosemary and rue, so I´m sad I did not connect with it.. But I´m happy you love it!
I really want to read The Name of the Wind! Congrats on reading most of these books!
I hope you will like it! It is so good!
The Book Thief was kind of depressing, but I still liked it. I hope you get to read it.
I think that is the main reason I have not read it haha!
It’s so nice to see that you’ve read so many of the books you mentioned two years ago! There’s some on here I’m ashamed to say I haven’t read yet but hopefully one day I will ( like Elantris which I know I’ll probably love but it’s intimidating).

I read Elantris like 2 weeks ago haha!
I really enjoyed it, I hope you will too!
That’s great progress! My backlist is enormous – I set myself a challenge this year that was meant to help me read somewhere between one and two dozen and, well, I’ve read one. So far. Oops?
There are also still so many on my backlist!
Haha I hope you manage to read some more in the rest of the year!
Nice list! 6 out of 10 is pretty amazing! I have so many backlist books to read…
Yeah I was pretty happy with that!
My list is also still very long haha!
I loved the second book in The Thief series, the third not so much. I still need to read the rest!
I feel like I liked book I’ve the most haha!
I love reflection posts like this! 6/10 is SO good!
Same haha! Always interesting to look back!
I was pretty happy with the result
I also have the Theif and The Name of the Wind on my TBR, fingers crossed when I get through my ARC backlog I can pick them up. Great post ☺️
I hope you will like them!
Wow, you read a lot of these books. Good job!
My TTT .
Thanks 🙂
It’s great you’ve read so many of the books from your original list! I have SO MANY backlist books to read.
Yeah I’m quite happy with it haah! There are still so many backlist books to read though haha!
There are so many backlist books I have to read. I want to read The Name Of The Wind too! Great list!
i hope you do! I absolutely loved it!
Great list! It looks like you’ve made really good progress.
Yeah I did!
