This week’s meme is Most read authors! There used to be a page on GoodReads with most red authors, I always liked looking at that list, but a year ago it disappeared.. So I made this list out of my head, not sure how accurate it is, or if I missed some obvious ones!

  1. Marissa Meyer – 7 books! Lunar chronicles (4+1 novella), Heartless, Renegades and Archenemies.
  2. Jay Kristoff – 8 books! Nevernight (3), Illuminea (3), Aurora rising (2).
  3. Leigh Bardugo – 9 books! Shadow and bone trilogy (3), Six of crows duology (2), King of scars, Language of thorns and Ninth house (DNF), Wonderwoman: Warbringer.
  4. Brandon Sanderson – 10 books! Mistborn (6), Warbreaker, The way of kings (2), Steelheart. (I’ve also read some novellas but idk how many)
  5. Julie Kagawa – 12 books! Iron fey (4), Talon (5), Shadow of the fox (3).
  6. Rick Riordan – 12 books! Percy Jackson (5), Magnus Chase (3), The trials of Apollo (4).
  7. VE Schwab – 12 books! A darker shade of magic (3), This savage song (2), Vicious (2), Tunnel of bones (2), The archived (2), The near witch.
  8. Lemony Snicket – 13 books! The series of unfortunate events (13).
  9. Sarah J Maas – 14 books! Throne of glass (8), A court of thorns and roses (4), House of earth and blood, Catwoman: soulstealer!
  10. Cassandra Clare – 17 books! The mortal instruments (6), The infernal devices (3), The dark artifices (3), Chain of gold, The last scroll of magic, The bane chronicles, Tales from the shadowhunter academy, Ghosts of the shadow market.

I really feel like I’m missing on some authors.. But can’t think of them now!

  1. Wow you’ve read a lot! Awesome list! I need to read more of Schwab’s books definitely, and I think I should start reading Meyer and Kristoff! Sanderson’s books also sound cool. 🙂 Btw, I was royally pissed when they canceled that ‘most read authors’ feature on Gr! :S

    1. Schwab, Sanderson and Kristoff are some of my favourite aurthors!
      Right?! I loved looking through that list! I see no reason why they removed it!

  2. Great list! I’ve read all of Bardugo’s Grisha books, but I still need to get to Ninth House.

  3. Oh wow, that’s a lot of Cassandra Clare! I didn’t even realize she had that many books. I really need to read more of her work. 🙂

  4. That “most read authors” feature would have been very helpful this week! VE Schwab made my list. I’m excited for her new book.

  5. I am impressed that you’ve read all 6 books in the Mistborn series. It took me 3 months to read the first 3 books in the series haha. Are the other 3 as good as the first set? I feel like V. E. Schwab is an automatic read for me these days.

    1. Personally I really prefer the first three books! Not that the other three are not good, just different ahah!
      Same for me!

  7. Fun list! I love the Lunar Chronicles books. I ended up doing a Goodreads export in a spreadsheet and then sorting and counting… what can I say, I love Excel!

    1. Ooh smart! I had to recount so often, and then I remembered another author haha, pretty sure I still missed some..

  9. Great list! I love SJM and was bummed she didn’t make my list. I think I’ve only read 1 Cassandra Clare. Which book/series would you recommend?

  17. Leigh Bardugo is probably one of my most read authors right now, too (I’m at 6?? books by her, and have 2 more on my TBR). I also have to include Jenn Bennett, as I’ve read almost all of her YA contemporaries, I think! And I’ve read a lot of John Green and Taylor Jenkins Reid 🙂

    1. She has so many good books!
      I haven’t read anything by Jenn Bennett, but I’ve heard great things!
      I really need to pick up more by Taylor Jenkins Reid!
