About the meme:
Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish, but is now moved to That Artsy Reader Girl! The read more about this meme, look at this page!
This week’s meme is books with summer vibes! Generally ‘summer vibes’ makes me think of contemporary, even though I still mainly read fantasy in summer, so I’m going to try and make a mix of both!

- Shadow of the fox by Julie Kagawa – I actually have no idea why, but it really gives me summerish vibes!
- Children of blood and bone by Tomi Adeyemi – I guess this one is because of the country it is set in haha!
- With the fire on high by Elizabeth Acevedo – Maybe because of all the summery fruit on the cover :p
- Aru Shah and the end of time by Roshani Chokshi – I think this takes place during summer break, but also the quick adventure gives summer vibes!

5. Traitor to the throne by Alwyn Hamilton – Definitely because this one takes mostly place in a dessert!
6. The unhoneymooners by Christina Lauren – I mean they go to Hawaii?!
7. The flatshare by Beth O’Leary – I guess just because it is romance!

8. When dimple met Rishi by Sandhya Menon – Takes place at a summer camp, so how not to choose this one!
9. Simon vs the homosapiens agenda by Becky Albertalli – I think this takes place during the whole school year, but because of certain scenes that I remember it gives me summer vibes!
10. An ember in the ashes by Sabaa Tahir – Again because of the setting, lots of sand!
Okay, I think I managed to make quite a diverse list haha!
Great list! When Dimple Met Rishi is such a great choice (and such a cute book!). The Unhoneymooners is definitely a summer read. 🙂
It was!
hehe I love that you have Children of Blood and Bone on your list! I get a super dark vibe from that book. I have no idea why XD I really want to read The Unhoneymooners! I really want to read more books by Christina Lauren! 🙂
It was dark, but I guess just the discriptions of land scape haha!
Yes contemporary is usually what I think of for summer too. As well as thrillers for some reason although like you I still read fantasy whatever. I’m not really a seasonal reader tbh With The Fire On High definitely gives summer vibes, especially with its cover like you said. The Unhoneymooners has a very summery cover too. And all of the desert settings definitely make sense (can’t believe I still have to read those series )
I’m also not a seasonal reader at all, if I want to resd a christmas book in July I will haha!
Same. Summer reading makes me think of light, fluffy books set in tropical, beachy places. That usually means contemporary, which isn’t my favorite genre. Generally, I read mystery/thriller books or historical fiction, but I’m actually reading a YA fantasy right now. That hasn’t happened in a long time!
Happy TTT!
