What is it about? (Summary from GoodReads)
New romance and dangers abound in this companion to the crowd-pleasing Wicked Fox.
As Vicious Spirits begins, Miyoung and Jihoon are picking up the pieces of their broken lives following the deaths of Miyoung’s mother, Yena, and Jihoon’s grandmother. With the support of their friend Somin, and their frenemy, Junu, they might just have a shot at normalcy. But Miyoung is getting sicker and sicker by the day and her friends don’t know how to save her. With few options remaining, Junu has an idea but it might require the ultimate sacrifice and, let’s be honest, Junu isn’t known for his “generosity.” Meanwhile, the events at the end of Wicked Fox have upended the forces that govern life and death and there are supernatural entities lurking in the background that will stop at nothing to right their world.

My thoughts:
After falling I love with Wicked Fox I knew I had to read this one ASAP! And it did not disappoint!
Vicious Spirits is more focussed on the side characters from Wicked Fox, Junu and Somin, but Jihoon and Miyoung still play a really big part in this book. This book is written from all of their perspectives and that really suited this story! Since you really get to see everyone´s thoughts and feelings about every situation.
In my opinion the characters are the best part about this book, and the previous one! They are all so interesting and they all really have their own personality, which you really see in reading the different POVs! My favourite character is definitely Junu! I loved him a lit, and I really enjoyed seeing him develop throughout the story. I also really enjoyed seeing Somin´s development throughout the story, since she really learns to not only care about others but to sometimes put herself first!
This is definitely a light fantasy that has a lot of romance, just like books one. But in this book I quite enjoyed it! Maybe I just needed a book like this at the moment, but I was flying through it!
Something else that I really enjoyed is the Korean Mythology! I feel like this book definitely thought me some things about this mythology, and made me very curious to learn more!
I will definitely pick up more works from Kat Cho when she publishes more! I absolutely love her writing style
I keep forgetting the sequel is out and I need to get on that because I did enjoy the first one. Glad to see you liked this one a lot!
I hope you will like it as well!
