What is it about? (Summary from GoodReads)
This is the story of two sisters, who happen to be princesses. Theirs is a world in which those who die in glory return as gods to live confined to a pantheon in Hallandren’s capital city. A world transformed by a power based on an essence known as breath. Using magic is arduous as breath can only be collected one unit at a time.
This is probably going to be a very short and incoherent review.
Because basically, I loved this, it was amazing, it is a new favourite!
That’s all I have to say!
But seriously, I loved all the characters, they were so interesting! They all had some great development throughout the book, especially the two princesses. Besides the main characters, the side characters were also so good! I was so interested in them as well, and some of them shook me so much!
I absolutely loved the magic! It was so good and original, and also so well explained that it was easy to understand, but not in a info dumping way!
This is the third series I read by him (or at least started) and in all of them I loved the writing, I don’t know why I keep being surprised by it!
Every time I read a Sanderson book I’m reminded by why I love his work, and I ask myself why I don’t read more of his work!
Also why is there nothing known about a sequel!? I need more from this world, and it has already been 10 years since this one released!
