This was another busy week for my thesis. So many long days on lab, doing calculations and writing..! But we’re nearing the end!
While doing some stuff, like preparing samples, and saving data, I’ve been listening to audiobooks haah! Since it is quite brainless work, so I made quite some progress on those haha!
I still read physically, but most days I was a bit too tired to read a lot, but oh well!
Also I’ve been commenting on blogs less, because I’m just tired, but I will do more when I have more time again.
Right now I just want to play animal crossing once I come home every day!
What I read this week (books with * have a review coming!):
Blood heir* – Amélie Wen Zhao (audio) – 4 stars! I enjoyed this book so much! I flew through the audiobook!
The girl of hawthorn and glass* – Adan Jerreat-Poole – 4 stars! Interesting world and characters, felt very original!
Monstress vol. 2 – Marjorie Liu – 3 stars! I’m still not really sure what I think of this series.. It is quite complicated, but also interesting?
Something is killing the children vol. 1 – James Tynion IV – 4 stars! This was way more gory then I had expected, but I really liked the story, really want to continue!
The beholder* – Anna Bright (audio) – 3 stars! The beginning was a little bit too dramatic, but I really liked the second half! Very curious to the sequel!
Invisible women – Caroline Criado Perez – stars! Took me to weeks to read haha, but definitely an interesting read, although I think sometimes she went on a bit too long on certain topics.
Clap when you land* – Elizabeth Acevedo (audio) – 4.5 stars! I listened to this in one day, Acevedo is such a great writer!
Five dark fates* – Kendare Blake – 4 Stars! Loved this conclusion!
What I’m currently reading:
The five – Hallie Rubenfold – This is so interesting!
Royal assassin – Robin Hobb (audio) – Rereading this for #Elderlingalong, and then soon I can finally read book 3!

So many good books on here! I have ARCs of The Girl of Hawthorn and Glass and Something is Killing the Children as well and am looking forward to them! I really want to read Clap When You Land as I enjoy Acevedo’s writing, especially when its written in verse. Fab post Evelyn!

And yes, the Monstress series truly is… something. I’ve read the first three volumes and I don’t really understand what’s going on but I somehow love it anyway.
I guess Monstress gives weird feelings to most people haah!

I feel the same way about Monstess. I really like it, but it’s also a bit hard to follow and understand at times.
