So this was a week! On Monday I defended my thesis, and I was so relieved afterwards, and I was proud of myself! Which I don’t feel often, but I really was!
Then I finally saw my mom again on Tuesday, after 5 months! We packed up my room and flew back to the Netherlands on Thursday, were I saw the rest of my family, and my best friends came over for dinner! So all in all a very happy day! (also exhausting haha)
Most of the weekend I spend in the sun with a book 🙂
What I read this week (books with * have a review coming!):

Up close and personal* – Kathryn Freeman – 3 stars! Nice, easy read. Not the biggest fan of the drama at the end!
Scorch dragons – Amie Kaufman (audio) – 3.5 stars! This is such a fun series to listen to!
Mitosis – Brandon Sanderson – 2 stars! Very unnecessary novella (like 25 pages haha)
The angel of the crows* – Katherine Addison – DNF! Really wasn’t connecting with this one!
The oddmire: Changeling* – William Ritter – 4 stars! Very fun middle grade series, excited to continue!
The order of the pure moon reflected in water* – Zen Cho – 3 stars! I’m very conflicted about this book, I enjoyed it but also not much happened?!
The betrothed – Kiera Cass (audio) – 3 stars! Is this a good book? No. Did I enjoy it? yes!

Congrats on your thesis!!! What did you research?
Thanks 🙂
I developed a analysis method so that the relation between the vitamin E concentration in blood and the development of certain diseases could be researched!
Much smarter than me.
Haha I guess it depends on where your interests are!
Haha I haven’t read one good review for The Betrothed, I’m happy you enjoyed your time reading it though! A City of Brass is absolutely amazing!
Haha I don’t think I have either, I just really wanted to try it out! It was good enough to listen to while playing on my switch haha!
It was! I need the sequel now!
I get the DNF on Angel of the Crows. I had a fun time because I really enjoy Sherlock Holmes stories, but it’s an easy one to bounce off of! Hope you enjoy Night of the Dragon.
Yeah I think if you like Sherlock Holmes, this could be better. But I’ve never been really into those stories!
I’m so excited to read that one!
Glad you enjoyed The Betrothed, I have…thoughts on that one lol. 🙂 Happy Reading, Evelyn!
it was enjoyable, but not great haha! (wasn’t a big fan of the ending though!)
So glad you liked Scorch Dragon!
Such a fun series to listen to!
Congrats on defending your thesis! Hope you have a great week, and enjoy your reading!
Thanks 🙂
Great reading week! I haven’t had the chance to finish our buddy read of Pure Moon yet (I’m sorry ) but I’m thinking it’ll be a 3-star read for me, too.
haha no worries! I’m curious to your thoughts 🙂
Congrats on defending your thesis!! And I’m happy to hear you’re enjoying The City of Brass, I love that book!
