My thoughts:
Okay, so I absolutely loved this book! I have no idea why I waited this long to actually pick up this book.. I think I have put it on every TBR since September!
I loved the world, the characters, the plot and especially the magic!
The world was so interesting, in this book we mainly got to learn about two of the countries, I really hope we get to see about the other countries in the sequel as well! During this book we travel from one country to the other, so we definitely get to see quite a bit!
Also lesson learned, don’t trust anyone.. (again..) These characters! They are so good! As in all of them are so well developed, and have great development throughout the book! And as I said I 100% trusted and distrusted the wrong people apparently! Nadya, our first POV, was a strong female, fighting for what she believed in! Serefin, our second POV, was learning to stand up against his father, and also fight for what he believed in. I loved seeing these two characters coming together! Also so many of the side characters were so good! I loved Parijahan, Rashan, Ostyia and Kacper! Bu tI do think Serefin was my favourite!
Both worlds we visited in this book have different magic systems. Both of them working in different ways, and both of them being very interesting! I loved learning the workings of both throughout the book!
The plot was just great! My mind got blown so often, especially at the end of the book!
Basically I absolutely loved this! And I will read my ARC of Ruthless gods ASAP!
I admit it…I was nervous to open up your review and read what you thought of it. This is one of my all-time favorite books…same with the sequel Ruthless Gods. Literally I own 3 hardcover copies of WS (including the OwlCrate Edition), the audiobook, and both a Kindle and NOOK copy of the book…and I’ve already decided to pick up the paperback in a couple months as well.
Anyway, I’m so glad you enjoyed this, and I hope you enjoy Ruthless Gods as well. Great review.
I’m so glad you loved it too!
There are so many mixed reviews, so I was a bit scared at first to read this one! But now I can’t wait to read the sequel!
So glad to see you loved this one, I’ve seen some mixed things on it. I really want to check this one out at some point. Great review!
Yeah me too, made me a bit hesitant to read it, but I’m happy that I did!
I love the covers for this series – they’re certainly very tempting but I had to make a decision to draw a line – too many books already. Glad you loved this.
Lynn 😀
The covers are very good!
Those endless TBRs..
I need to read this soon, and oh my gosh, I’m so glad to hear that you enjoyed it so much! This gives me all the hope. These characters sound perfect, and I can’t wait to meet them. So looking forward to picking this up even more now. 😀 I’ve got an ARC of Ruthless Gods, too, so I really need to work on getting to this. xD
You do!
Having the ARC of the sequel was my main reason for picking this up now haha!
I’m glad you enjoyed this one! I was a bit unsure about it but you’ve convinced me to add it to my TBR (which was nice and sane at the start of the year and is already overflowing!). Fab review Evelyn!
Haha don’t we all have that struggle..
I hope you love it just as much!
I have seen lots of good reviews for this one, I’m glad to see another one. I hope to get to this one soon.
I hope you will love it too!
Yay! I’m so glad you loved it! I’m reading Ruthless Gods right now and it’s so good.
I have the ARC, I need to read it so soon! Happy you’re liking it so far!
