Another weird reading month. I read quite some in the beginning of the month, way less in the middle since I had exams, and needed to study 🙁 But then when I was done and went to my parents I read A LOT!
I’m writing this with still 4 days left, but I don’t want to upload this last minute. So if you want to know what I read after that day you could check out my GoodReads or Instagram!

Let’s start with the stats!

Escaping from Houdini by Kerri Maniscalco. Rating: 4 stars! (audio)
I’m so happy I decided to listen to this one instead of physically reading! I enjoyed the story a lot, all the murders were introduced really interesting. See my full review here!
Children of the Whales volume 1 by Abi Umeda. Rating: 4 stars!
I got this manga for my birthday, and it looked so interesting. The art is gorgeous! The story was really interesting. Only thing is that there barely was action in this one, except for the ending.
Fence volume 1 by CS Pacat. Rating: 4 stars!
Randomly picked this up, was enjoyable, interested in the next volume.
Harmonies of war by Ruby Fitzgerald. Rating: 3 stars!
Got this book from the publisher. Was a really interesting idea, but I think it should have worked out a bit more! See my review here!

Dracula by Bram Stoker. Rating: 4 stars! (audio)
My classic of the month! I really liked to finally have read the original classic. I especially enjoyed the first 75% but after that it was a bit too long. See my first impressions (and short review) here!
Reawakened by Colleen Houck. Rating: 4 stars!
I’m happy I picked this backlist book up! It was really interesting and contained Egyptian mythology! I’m now definitely interested in the rest of the series and her other works. See my full review here!
Children of the Whales volume 2 by Abi Umeda. Rating: 4 stars!
Since I enjoyed volume 1, I needed to read the second volume. And again really enjoyed it!
Vengeful by VE Schwab. Rating: 5 stars!
This book was soo good! I loved how it continued from the first book! Loved to see the relations between the characters, also the new characters are really interesting. See my full review here!
Name of the wind by Patrick Rothfuss. Rating: 5 stars! (audio)
Finally! I read this! I loved this! It’s amazing! I can not believe I did not read this earlier! I will start off 2019 with listening to the sequel!

Fullmetal alchemist 3-in-1 volume 4 by Hiromu Arakawa. Rating: 4.5 stars!
I read quite some manga this month haha. This was not my favourite in the series, but I definitely enjoyed it as well!
The bands of mourning by Brandon Sanderson. Rating: 4 stars!
This was my favourite in the second mistborn series. I started to like the characters way more in this book. And now I’m actually excited for the last book!
The word of the world is forest by Ursula K Le Guin. Rating: 2 stars!
Disappointing.. This was definitely not a book for me.. Too confusing, barely any story.. I did an First impression Friday for this one with a short review, see it here!
Speaking as fast as I can by Lauren Graham. Rating: 4 stars! (audio)
This was actually quite interesting. I had no expectations for this book, which I think was good. Otherwise I only expected Gilmore girls, but of course there was also other content. Really want to rewatch it now though.
Nyxia by Scott Reintgen. Rating: 4.5 stars! (audio)
This was a book I read exactly at the right moment. It was a good, easy and enjoyable book to listen to while packing my bags for going home 🙂 Review will be up next year!

Strange the dreamer by Laini Taylor. Rating: 4.5 stars!
Again a book I finally read. I read it during my 11 hour travel home, so I read t really quickly! It was really really good (but did I expect something else?). Some parts were just a bit too slow for me. Exited to read Muse of Nightmares now!
The golden tower by Holly Black and Cassandra Clare. Rating: 3 stars! (audio)
So happy to have started and finished this series this year! It was not my favourite book in this series, but it was definitely a good ending to the series. Review will be up next year!
Fire and Heist by Sarah Beth Durst. Rating: 2.5 stars!
Got this book in my Fairyloot box, and started to read it the day after I opened it. It sounded so cool, I mean were-dragons. But it was actually a bit disappointing. My review will be up next year!

Waking gods by Sylvain Neuvel. Not finished yet! (audio)
I loved the audiobook of book one, so I was really excited to listen to this one.
Fantastic beasts: the crimes of grindelwald by JK Rowling. Rating: 3 stars!
It was okay, but unnecessary. But I just had to have it for my collection..
Children of the Whales volume 3 by Abi Umeda. Rating: 4 stars!
Got this volume for Christmas, and just had to continue the series. It is just so interesting!
