My reading this month was all over the place haha, I read a lot in the first three days, then I was traveling for 5 and barely read anything. I thought that when my second semester started I would read less, since I would have less time. But for some reason the opposite happened, and I read a lot 🙂 Maybe I just didn’t want to start the semester yet, and just read instead of doing school stuff haha
Also my TBR was stressing me out, so that took a bit of my enjoyment, so I have to do that differently next year!
Let’s start with the stats!

Becoming by Michelle Obama. Rating: 4.5 stars! (audio)
I really enjoyed this book! I really liked hearing about her life, and what she thought about Barack running for president. The only reason I took half a star is because the parts about American politics went way over my head haha
King of Attolia by Megan Whalen Turner. Rating: 4 stars!
I’m still enjoying my buddy read for this series, definitely preferred this one over book one and two. My review can be found here!
Any duchess will do by Tessa Dare. Rating: 2 stars!
Normally I really like Tessa Dare’s books, but I found this one a bit boring.. But since I liked other works from her which I really liked, I will definitely read more from her!
Just so stories by Rudyard Kipling. Rating: 3.5 stars!
I read this during my 24h readathon (see the post here!), and I really liked most of these stories. I’m happy I read more of his works besides the jungle books.

Broken prince by Erin Watt. Rating: 2 stars!
Another read of my 24h readathon. I was actually a bit disappointed in this one.. since I liked book one quite a bit. You can read all my thoughts here!
Snotgirl vol. 1 by Bryan Lee O’Malley. Rating: 3 stars!
Another read of my 24h readathon. This was such a weird graphic novel, I have no idea what direction it will take haha. But I’m definitely interested in continuing this series.
Ruby Red by Kerstin Gier. Rating: 5 stars!
Last read of my 24h readathon. This was my first time reading this book in English after rereading it often in Dutch. And I absolutely loved it! I’m posting a review about this in a couple of days!
Down among the sticks and bones by Seanon McGuire. Rating: 5 stars! (audio)
Another reread! I’m rereading the wayward series before reading in an absent dream. And I again loved it a lot. I do prefer book one over this one though!

To best the boys by Mary Weber. Rating: 2 stars!
I was so excited for this arc, but unfortunately it kinda let me down.. All my thoughts are in my review that is being posted in a couple of days!
Four Three Two One by Courtney C Stevens. Rating: 5 stars! (audio)
Omg I did not expect to love this book as much as I did! I loved Stevens previous book, so I just had to try this one out. My review can be found here!
King of scars by Leigh Bardugo. Rating: 4 stars!
This was a good book, but not as good as I expected based on my love for Six of crows. Maybe this is because the grisha trilogy was just okay for me, and this book of course continues more on that trilogy than the six of crows duology. Still really enjoyed it, and Zoya is my hero!
Once ghosted, twice shy by Alyssa Cole. Rating: 4 stars!
I saw this everywhere, and I saw Scribd had it. And I had a 3 hour break, so I just started reading it. And it was quite cute, and I definitely want to read more from this author!

Goldie Vance vol. 1 by Hope Larson. Rating: 4 stars!
This was a cute detective graphic novel! Really curious what they will do in the second volume!
Lord of shadows by Cassandra Clare. Rating: 5 stars! (audio)
OMG I loved this book so much! It was even better then Lady midnight! I CANNOT wait for me to read book 3! My review will be posted soon I hope!
Little woman by Louisa May Alcott. Rating: 3 stars.
I really liked the beginning of this book, but it felt a bit repetitive towards the ending. I will post a first impression Friday post soon!
Reign of the fallen by Sarah Glenn Marsh. Rating: 4 stars. (audio)
This book actually surprised me, in a good way! I really liked the magic system, but I predicted to plot twist. My review for both books will be uploaded soon!

Beneath the sugar sky by Seanon McGuire. Rating: 5 stars! (audio)
Again reread, I’m now prepared for book 4! I just love these books so much! They are so interesting, work really well together, but all have their own story!
A map of days by Ransom Riggs. Rating: 5 stars!
I loved being back in this world! I’m really interested in book 5 after this ending! I will post a first impression post soon!
The seven husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid. Rating: 4 stars! (audio)
This was such a pleasant surprise! I was so invested in the story, and really recommend the audiobook! Review coming soon!
Horimiya vol 1 by Hero. Rating: 4 stars.
This was cute, will definitely continue this series!

A conspiracy of kings by Megan Whalen Turner. Rating: 3.5 stars.
I’m starting to think that I should give up on this series, they are all a bit mediocre in my opinion. Review soon!
On the come up by Angie Thomas.
I’m still reading this but I’m pretty sure I will finish this later today! So far I’m enjoying it, but it’s not as good as The hate U give
Song of the dead by Sarah Glenn Marsh.
Also haven’t finished this one yet, but I’m hoping to finish it later today, also really liking this one! I will post a review of this one later together with book one.

Holy wrap up Batman! You such a good reading month, even though some seemed like duds. I’m curious to see your thoughts on “to best the boys.” While I’m not interested in reading it, I’ve seen more reviews like yours so I’m curious. I’m glad you also seem to be liking the queen’s thief series; it’s a really interesting one 🙂
Yes I had, I was flying through the books! My review for to best the boys is up on sunday 🙂
I love you pie charts, can I borrow the idea? Anyway, I read The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo and enjoyed it. I am planning to read Down Among the Sticks and Bones in March, hopefully get to the 3rd one as well. Fingers crossed. Glad to see the series holds up as you read, that is always a worry to me.
Of course! I love them as well ☺️ yeah I can see why, but these books are separate stories on their own so that really helps 🙂
Thanks! 🙂 I just finished it and LOVED it! It does help that they are connected, but not linear.
Looks like you had a really good reading month I’m so excited to read On the Come Up, so I’m happy to hear you’re enjoying it a lot!
Yes I had ☺️ I ended up giving it 3 stars, it’s a good book but just not as good as THUG (which I guess is hard haha)
Great Reading month darling!. I’m glad you enjoyed Down among the sticks and bones! I love that book
Thanks ☺️ yes me too! 🙂
