This month I will be participating in the #Makeyourmythtaker readathon, organised by Ashleigh @A frolic through fiction and Charlotte @Charkar_. Watch the announcement video here!
This readathon takes place during the whole month of June! And the idea is that you create your own character! But for all the information, just watch the video! Some parts are too hard to explain haha (lowkey rewatched the video a couple of times before understanding)
They also organise a 24h readathon each weekend, not sure yet if I have time to participate, but I will definitely try!
There are some small rules:
- You have to declare your TBR (I’m doing that with this post)
- You have to follow your TBR (read in order)!
- No doubling up! (But you only need to read 4 books per character)
So I couldn’t choose which character I wanted.. So I’m going for 2 characters, Assassin and Courtier! I mean a Courtier could also be an Assassin right?! My first focus will be Assassin though!
Assassin prompts:
- Heard good things – The turn of the key by Ruth Ware
- Red/Purple/Gold on the cover – A torch against the night by Sabaa Tahir
- Secret book – Can’t tell! But I have one in mind!
- Quick read – Mitosis by Brandon Sanderson

Courtier prompts:
- A favourite author – Night of the dragon by Julie Kagawa
- Weapon on the cover – Kings of the Wyld by Nicholas Eames
- Continue a series – Aurora burning by Jay Kristoff and Amie Kaufman
- Read a host favourite book – City of Brass by SA Chakraborty

I’m so excited for all of these books!
Besides these readathon books I also want/need to read some other books!
Some readalong books:
- The tombs of Atuan and The farthest shore by Ursula K le Guin for #Leguinalong (Live show end of June/beginning July)
- Assassin’s Quest by Robin Hobb for #Elderlingalong (live show in beginning of August, so I have time)

Some ARCs that I should pick up:

- The witches of Willow Cove by Josh Roberts (release may 27th)
- Up close and personal by Kathryn Freeman (release June 12th)
- The angels of the crows by Katherine Addison (release June 23rd)
- A duke, the lady, and a baby by Vanessa Riley (release June 30th)
- Rebel spy by Veronica Rossi (release June 23rd)
- The order of the pure moon reflected in water by Zen Cho (release June 23rd)
- The peasant’s dream by Melanie Dickerson (release July 7th)
- B*witch by Paige McKenzie and Nancy Ohlin (release July 7th)

And there are so many more books that I really want to read, but I feel like this list is long enough as it is haha!
Good luck with your readathon!! It looks like you have a lot of fun books to read!
Thanks 🙂 I’m really looking forward to all of them!
