I feel like I often talk about the same favourite books. Like The last magician, Harry Potter, Truthwitch, Scythe etc. Today I want to shout out some of my favourites that I talk about less!

Spellbook of the lost and found by Moïra Fowley-Doyle.
I’m pretty sure I’ve mentioned this one quite a bit ahah. But still, I just love the atmosphere in this book! This book made me realize that I love magical realism (and I still need to find more books in this genre).
Binti by Nnedi Okorafor.
This series is amazing! It is so beautiful and diverse! And I really need to reread this soon!
Anne of green gables: A graphic novel by LM Montgomery and Mariah Marsden.
Okay Anne of Green Gables is many people’s favourite, but please check out this graphic novel! It is so beautiful!

The rest of us just live here by Patrick Ness.
This book made me start to love Patrick Ness. I just thought this story was so original, and so beautifully written!
Shadow of the fox by Julie Kagawa.
I’ve loved everything I read by Julie Kagawa, and this was no difference! The story is so original and Kagawa’s writing is so good and it just pulls you into the story!
The last namsara by Kristen Ciccarelli.
I feel like haven’t talked about this one that often, but it’s amazing! It already starts at the amazing covers! I’m so happy I got this one in a Fairyloot, I’m not sure I would have picked it up otherwise!

Four Three Two One by Courtney C Stevens.
I often talk about her other book, but not that much about this one. This one was just as beautifully written, and it deals with such a heavy topic. I think the author did a great job discussing this!
Crown of feathers by Nicki Pau-Preto.
A recent favourite! Another original story, and I loved the world, the characters, the phoenixes! I really have to buy my own copy of this book.
Do you dream of Terra-Two? by Temi Oh.
This book reminded me why I love science-fiction, and why I should reach out to different genres more often! I really hope this author will write more, because I will pick it up, whatever it is she writes!
I’m really hoping to get The Last Namsara, Shadow Of The Fox & Crown Of Feathers read by the end of the year as they all sound amazing. I love the Wicked Lovely series but hardly ever see it mentioned. It’s the book that made me fall in love with the fae and I also hope to reread that either later this year or early next year.
I hope you do too!
Ooh I have to check that one out!
Oh, I love the idea of doing a random favorites post! I loved Shadow of the Fox, that was such a fun book. Just finished the sequel.
Ooh I’m so happy to hear! Did you live the sequel as well? 🙂
I’m really keen to read Do You Dream of Terra Two and Crown of Feathers!! I’ve read so many positive reviews for them and their covers are awesome. You’ve made such a great list Evelyn! 🙂 Jen
I hope you do! And love them as well!
Thanks 🙂
Totally agree about The Last Namsara! I was gifted it and got a copy in FL as well, and I agree, I likely wouldn’t have picked it up otherwise. But it was so good!! The Sky Weaver is one of my last anticipated reads to come out this year!!
I’m so happy you loved it as well! Same for me! I can’t wait 🙂
Do you dream of Terra-Two was soooo good! Definitely deserves more attention, and I plan on talking it up next month during sci-fi November!
Yess, it needs more hype! I really hope she will write another book!
I have not read a single one of these, seems like thatcher’s needs to change ASAP. Magical realism is one of my favorite genres as well, it is hard to find because a lot of them don’t come out and say it. Sarah Addison Allen two book series is really good.
Yes, most of the time I only know something is magical realism because of other reviews!
Thanks, u will look it up 🙂
