My thoughts:
I really did not know what to expect from this book going into it. Both plotwise, and how I would like it, since this is not the kind of sci-fi I’ve read before!
I ended up enjoying this book a lot! I really liked all of the characters. Although there were quite many which sometimes was a little bit confusing. Mainly because they all had different nicknames for each other. But besides that I really enjoyed them all, they all developed a lot throughout the story and I really enjoyed seeing their relationships change.
I loved learning about this world, especially since we that together with quite some of the characters. Not really learning about the world, but more about the ‘other’ worlds! Every time I picked up this book I could not put it down, I just needed to know what was going to happen!
I rated plot a little bit lower because of the in between parts between chapters. These parts were quite biological, and I feel like those parts went a bit over my head. I struggled a bit with understanding those parts, since I did not really see how they fitted in with the story at the time. I did once I reached the end!
Besides the in between parts, I loved the plot. I think it was so cleverly done, and so many parts blew my mind!
This book made me realize I need to read more sci-fi, and also more from Adrian Tchaikovsky!

My thoughts:
In the end I really enjoyed this book, especially after thinking about it for a while. But I did struggle with it quite a bit while reading it. This book is very political heavy, and loads of world building! Which in general I love, but I needed quite some time to process it all haha!
The world was so interesting, I loved learning about it, even when it was a bit difficult to follow all the different parts of the political set up (idk the right words to describe this).
The characters were a bit hard to distinguish in the beginning since the naming is a bit weird, all the names are a number and an adjective, so some names have the same number and that was a bit confusing. For the first half of the book I did not care much about the characters, but I really started to in the second half!
I’m very happy I have the ARC of the sequel since I really want to continue!
I really recommend this one if you want a sci-fi with some amazing world-building, and you have some time to spend on understanding the world!

This book grabbed my attention from the start! I just could not put it down. I needed to know what was going to happen, both the plot and the characters were very interesting! The writing was amazing, which really helped with me flying through the book 🙂
We follow May who is the last person alive on her spaceship, she doesn’t remember what has happened, so throughout the book we try to figure that out together with her. At the same time she is also trying to get back home, with the help of some people there.
This book is full of twists, betrayals and sometimes even scary parts! Which really made me want to continue reading, as I said, this book was just very intriguing!
I can’t wait to see what SK Vaughn will write next, I will definitely pick it up!

My thoughts:
This is one of those books were I feel like I’ve read a different book then others..
So many people with the same reading taste as mine absolutely love this book! The first time I read this, back in 2017, I listened to the audiobook, and I had no idea what I listened to. Since I wanted to understand the hype I decided to reread this book but in ebook format this time! I definitely understood way more from the story this time around, but there was no point were I fell in love with the story!
The characters were mostly just okay to me, although I did love Sevro! Darrow was just annoying me most of the time. The plot was also just okay, but I really did have to tell myself to continue reading! Until the end, there were some plot twists there that really did make me want to continue! And also makes me more interested in the sequel!
I just thought this book was okay haha. I will most probably continue with the series, but I’m not in a hurry!

I need to read Door of Eden. I did start it but wasn’t in the right head place so put it down.
Lynn 😀
I hope you will try it again and love it!
Across the Void sounds so interesting! I have been wanting to get into more sci-fi, and seeing you give this one such a high rating makes me want to pick it up. Loved reading all of these reviews! <3
It was amazing! I hope you will like it too if you get to it!
I’ve heard from others that Red Rising was bit their favorite from the trilogy, so maybe continue with the next book? I still need to finish Red Rising, but I think I’ll at least read the original trilogy to see how I like it overall.
Yeah I do think I will continue someday, but I’m not in a hurry haha
