So back in July, I think, I did two posts about series. One about series were I was waiting for the sequel for, and one about series that I should and could continue! So I thought I would now give an update! Of course some books were I was waiting for the sequel, now have one, some of which I read, some I didn’t. And I wanted to update about the series I can continue, if I did or maybe even am up to date with or finished them!
I’m not going to list the ones for which I’m *still* waiting for the sequel. Hopefully writing this post motivates me to continue even more series!
Let’s start with the series that I finished or am caught up with now:

- The bear and the nightingale by Katherina Arden (finished!)
- Nevermoor by Jessica Townsend (up to date, waiting for book 3!)
- Everless by Sara Holland (Finished!)
- Truthwitch by Susan Dennard (up to date, not so patiently waiting for book four!)

- Ace of shades by Amanda Foody (Up to date, waiting for book 3!)
- Alchemists of Loom by Elise Kova (Finished!)
- Aru Shah by Roshani Chokshi (Up to date, waiting for book 3!)

- School for good and evil by Soman Chainani (Up to date, waiting for book 6!)
- Dreadful tale of Prosper Redding by Alexandra Bracken (Finished!)
- Not a drop to drink by Mindy McGinnis (Finished!)
And now for the series that I did continue since the last post, but am not finished/up to date with yet:

- Three dark crowns by Kendare Blake (I have now also read book 2 and 3!)
- Rebel of the sands by Alwyn Hamilton (I have now also read book 2! Maybe I have finished book 3 by the time this is posted!)
- Renegades by Marissa Meyer (I have now also read book 2!)
- The stormlight archives by Brandon Sanderson (I have now also read part 2 of book 1 and book 2!)
- Outlander by Diana Gabledon (to be honest this wasn’t on the previous list, but should have been, and now I have also read book four!)

And then for the books that I did not continue yet (marked with *) or have been added to the list!

- An ember in the ashes by Sabaa Tahir (Read book 1 and 2!)
- The diviners* by Libba Bray (Only book four left! This should have been on my previous list but wasn’t..)
- The witcher by Andrzej Sapkowski (Read the two short story collections and book 1)
- Anne of Green gables* by LM Montgomery (Only read book one, but really want to continue)

- Dance of thieves by Mary E Pearson (Only read book 1)
- The bone season* by Samantha Shannon (Still only read book one)
- Keeper of the lost cities by Shannon Messenger (Read the first four books!)
- Spellslinger by Sebastien de castell (I read the first two books)

- Farseer trilogy* by Robin Hobb (Still have to read book three)
- Sky in the deep by Adrienne Young (Read book one, the other is technically a companion I guess)
- Ice wolves by Amie Kaufman (Read book one, waiting for the others on audio!)
I’m happy I actually finished or got caught up on quite some series! And also continued with some 🙂
Anddd of course added quite some new ones!
You’re doing amazingly well at catching up, good luck with the rest of it!! This reminded me that I need to reread and catch up on Bone Season before the next book comes out. And I’ve only read the first three Spellslinger books so far but the third was my favourite of those so I hope you enjoy it too
I really need to make a move on The bone season haha!
I’m hoping to pick up the third book soon, so that is good to hear 🙂
I really want to read that Ace of Shades series, it looks so good!
Great list of series here, I have soooo many ongoing series last time I looked it was high double digits. Not so sure how it got so out of hand lol.
Ooh it is so good! Soon you can binge the whole series!
Ooh that is so many!! I’m pretty sure I forgot some, but then probably I won’t want to read those anymore anyway!
I also want to continue on with Spellslinger, I’ve read two and bought the third book. I need to start Truthwitch, I bought the first two books but haven’t gotten to them yet!
I borrowed the third book from my brother back in October, and still haven’t read it haha #oops
Truthwitch is amazing! I hope you pick it up sometime soon 🙂
You’re doing great on series this year! I have a few I need to catch up on, but also a ton I need to start.
YEs, for some reason I really found some motivation to finish some series this year ahah! And it feels very good!
I’m terrible at continuing series, haha. I need to start writing them all down like this.
Making this list made me so excited to continue series! So maybe that will help for you as well haha
There are SO many series I am part way through reading and need to either finish or catch up on. Some sequel releases I’m waiting for this year are Aurora Burning, The Deck of Omens and The Damned.
I can’t wait for aurora burning, luckily it is almost here! I really need to go and pick up the deck of omens!
The beautiful is high on my list with series to start!
Oh you’ve been doing a great job so far! I really want to continue with Lunar Chronicles and Throne of Glass, and I want to start The Bone Season, Prosper Redding, and School of Good and Evil series 😀
I’ve been really motivated this year to finish some series!
Ooh the lunar chronicles and TOG are good!
I really want to continue with the bone season, but I really need to reread book one haha, I barely remember anything!
I’m so excited for the last Ace of Shades book! Just started listerning to the last book in Blake’s Dark Crowns series.
I can’t wait!!
Ooh i just got it from the library, so I really hope to pick it up soon, and finish another series!
I have a major problem with starting series and not finishing. So many I need to see through to the end.
I have problems with finishing if I start a series and then have to wait fo rthe sequel.. By that time I have picked up so many other things, that I don’t remember all the details anymore haha
Same! The curse of being a Book blogger
Jup, definitely! Reading other people reviews makes me want to pick up all the new books haha!
I am also waiting for Hollowpox. Very impatiently!!
Ughh almost..?
I’m so lazy when it comes to finishing series. Especially since I tend to reread the books in order before catching up on the new release and often I don’t have the motivation for that 😛 I’m really keen on trying The Bear and the Nightingale. We have it coming up for my book club pick next month and I can’t wait to give it a try. Awesome post Evelyn! 🙂 Jen
Most of the series that I’ve been finishing were already compelte, so I could read them quite close to each other!
Bur for some series I also feel like I have to reresd the previous books before I can continue on haha!
Ooh The bear and the nightingale is one of my faves, I hope you end up loving it!
Series are such a problem for me – I seem to leave quite a few unfinished for some reason.
Lynn 😀
I used to leave series all the time! But for some reason this year I’ve been quite motivated to finish some, so that’s nice!
