I was tagged by Lenn @Dusty Promises! Go check out her blog, it is great!
Rules:
- Link back to the original creator @The Corner of Laura
- Thank whoever tagged you and link back to their post!
- Tag 5 or more people
- Read books that fit the description
- The deadline for the challenge is six weeks after you were originally tagged (which, statistically, is the point were 80% of the people give up their New Year’s Resolutions).
- Post a wrap-up when you’re done to show how you got on!
So I guess I have to read these books within 6 weeks?! Probably not going to happen haha! But I will do my best! There are also bonus challenges, but I won’t be doing those (will list them though!)
Challenge:
Exercise: A book with 500 pages or more! (bonus: read a book with 800 pages or more)
The Black Prism by Brent Weeks. I’ve been meaning to read this one for years, finally bought a second-hand copy back in July! And it is actually on my February TBR, so I hope I will finally read it!

Learn a new skill: A book from a genre you never usually read (Bonus: book from a genre outside your comfort zone that was published in 2020/21)
One of my goals is to read more non-fiction, so I will go with Stamped by Ibram X Kendi!

Save money: Read a second-hand book or any book you didn’t pay full price for. (Bonus: Read a library book)
The Library of the Unwritten by AJ Hackwith!

Reduce stress: Read a happy book or anything that leaves a smile on your fave (Bonus: read a happy book about reducing stress/tackling mental health problems)
I’ve heard The House on the Cerulean Sea by TJ Klune makes people happy! So going with that one!

Travel more: A book set in a foreign country (or world) (Bonus: book that was originally published in another language)
Honestly most books are set in a foreign country for me, since barely any books take place in The Netherlands haha!
I’m planning to read A Winter’s Promise by Christelle Dabos in February, which will also fit the bonus challenge since it was originally written in French!

Spend more time with family and friends: Read a book recommended by your IRL/online family and/or friends (Bonus: read a book you wouldn’t have picked up otherwise)
Frostheart by Jamie Littler, quite many people I follow online love this book!

Stop procrastinating: A book that’s been on your TBR for over a year (bonus: the book at the very bottom of your TBR)
I own the e-book of Akata Witch by Nnedi Okorafor for the longest I think. I have no idea why I have not yet picked it up, since it sounds amazing!

Focus on self-care: A book where mental health is central (Bonus: read a self-help book and try out one of the pieces of advice it gives)
I feel like this quickly becomes contemporary, which I do not really read, and definitely do not own haha!
Screw resolutions, I quit: Re-read an old favourite (bonus: re-read an entire series)
I’m currently in the middle of rereading the Throne of Glass series by Sarah J Maas and the Shadow and Bone Trilogy by Leigh Bardugo!
