Top 5 Tuesday is a weekly meme created by Shanah @the Bionic Bookworm and is now being hosted by Meeghan @Meeghan Reads!
This weeks topic is books I’m glad I read! I’m going for books I read this year! Although it will be hard to narrow it down to 5! I’m not necessarily going for favourite reads, but some reads that were important for some reason!

- The Unhoneymooners by Christina Lauren (5 stars) – This book made me realize that I really do like adult contemporary! And it made me pick up more, to figure out what exactly I like!
- Lock Every Door by Riley Sager (4.5 stars) – This book made me fall in love with the mystery/thriller genre, and once again I need to pick up more!
- The Eye of the World by Robert Jordan (5 stars) – Okay this actually is a new favourite, but I’m so happy I finally picked up this daunting series to realize that I absolutely love it!
- The Girl in Red by Christina Henry (4.5 stars) – Another book that made me realize I have to explore another genre! So far this exploration has been very mixed haha, but I guess I just have to figure out what part I like!
- Ship of Magic by Robin Hobb (5 stars) – This actually is a new favourite as well! I really enjoyed the Farseer Trilogy, so I knew I loved Hobb! But pciking up this series really confirmed that!

Haven’t read any of these but A Girl in Red has been on my list clue a bit! I’ve seen Hobb a lot in the fantasy circles but sadly haven’t gotten to her books yet.
I really recommend both haha!
I really need to read more Robin Hobb. What a great list!!
You do! Her work is amazing!
Thanks 🙂
Great topic! I think one book I’m glad I read is the first book of The Others by Anne Bishop – Written in Red. It’s been such a fun time reading this series this year and it’s been sustaining me through some trying times. 🙂
I haven´t read anything by Anne Bishop, so maybe I should try that one as well!
Hi, I dont know if you got a notification that I linked your blog, but I nominated you for the Sunshine Blogger Award
cblossombooks.wordpress.com
I hope you do try it, but if you’re busy or have already done it, dont worry about it
Oh No I did not! Thanks for letting me know and nominating me! I will go check it out now!
No problem 🙂 Have fun if u do it!
I’ve not read as many books this year, but I’d say I’m glad to have read every one of them. A particular standout would have to be The Song of Achilles, Beartown, and Jade City. Those books left me reeling by the end.
Beartown and jade city are still on my to read list!
I’m glad I’ve read The Mortal Instruments and The Infernal Devices (although I havent finished it yet) and A Pocketful of Crows, because they made me realise I really like fantasy I think my TBR for December is going to be full of fantasy books and a lot more historical fiction too. This post was a lot of fun; I really enjoyed it 🙂
Ooh that is such a great reason for appreciating those books!
I hope you will like all the fantasies you will read! (and the other books of course haha)
Thanks, and you too
