Top 5 Tuesday is a weekly meme created by Shanah @The Bionic Bookworm and is now being hosted by Meeghan @Meeghan Reads!
Top Five Tuesday was taking a break, and has now moved from Shanah’s to Meeghan’s blog! And I honestly think there could be no one better to take of this meme than Meeghan! Although it is sad that Shanah won’t be doing it anymore!
This week’s topic is ‘books were something went wrong’, and I’m going for books were something went wrong in a good way! As in it only made the book more amazing!

- Illuminae by Jay Kristoff and Amie Kaufman – This might have been Meeghan’s example, but things definitely go wrong here!
- The Eye of the World by Robert Jordan – I mean those first couple of chapters, ooff..
- Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo – Honestly does something go right?!
- Falling Kingdoms by Morgan Rhodes – Don’t know what to say anymore haha!
- House of Earth and Blood by Sarah J Maas – I mean if you’ve read this you know!

I’ve only read a couple of these but yes, great list! Especially Illuminae–all kinds of things go wrong in that one.
Thanks!
Indeed hahah
I just finished Illuminae and absolutely loved it! I really enjoyed Flame in the Mist by Renee Ahdieh, that would go well with this list!
Ooh yes that is true!
We almost match! I went with Crooked Kingdom instead of Six of Crows 😀
Hahah I didn’t want to name the same series twice, but otherwise that one should have been on here as well!
Firstly, thank you so much. You are too kind, Evelyn!!
Secondly, I feel like Kaz Brekker always plans for everything to go exactly as it does… even when it appears to go badly!!
Hahaha true!
Six of Crows is honestly such a solid pick for this list. You’re 100% on the nose about nothing going right in it!
Hahaha!
I love this list! At first, I thought the prompt was “the writing went wrong” but I don’t think anyone would disagreed that things certainly went wrong for the characters in all of these books!

Hahab true!
I’m not sure if I could make a list were the writing went wrong haha!
Oooh, I like your twist on the prompt! I opened this and saw Illuminae and was ready to fight haha. But I agree, a LOT went wrong in Illuminae, but it just made the book better!
Ooh I love Illuminae haha! It definitely made the book better!
I laughed out loud at your comment about Six of Crows! 😀

Haha, i mean its true?!
I love your list! Illuminae and Falling Kingdoms are definitely worthy. I also think Gemina is good too because of the cows, haha.
Yesss definitely! I did not want to list the same series twice haha!
