This was my first week of working 5 days in a row, which is something to get used to! But it is definitely better then working 10 hour shifts every other day! Because now I actually had a real weekend, which was really nice!
We’re in the middle of a heat wave here, and normally I’m okay with heat, but this time around I’m not dealing very well.. I’m hoping it passes soon!
What I read this week (books with * have a review coming!):

Anna K – Jenny Lee (audio) – 2 stars! I liked the beginning, but this was really not for me. It took me so long to listen to this, because I just did not care..
Charmcaster – Sebastien De Castell – 3 stars! I’m enjoying the series, but not as much as I thought I would.
Burn Our Bodies Down* – Rory power – 5 stars! Rory Power is definitely a new favourite author! Really loved this one!
The Luminous Dead* – Caitlin Starling (audio) – 3 stars! I enjoyed the beginning, but I lost my interest at some point!
The Tea Dragon Tapestry – Katie O’Neill – 4 stars! Ridiculously cute!
Mexican Gothic* – Silvia Moreno-Garcia – 4.5 stars! Another new favourite author! I loved this!

What I’m currently reading:
One True King – Soman Chainani (audio) – This one will take me a while, but I’m excited to finish this series!
The Kingdom of Copper – SA Chakraborty – I only just started, but I’m so excited to continue this series!

Reviews I posted:
More Than Just A Pretty Face – Syed M Masood
The subjects – Sarah Hopkins (DNF review)
Other posts:
Top Ten Tuesday – Books with a colour in the title
Top Five Tuesday – Books were something went wrong
Let’s Talk Bookish – ‘Easier’ on self-published books
Books I bought/received:
Bloodwitch – Susan Dennard (I already owned this but I wanted my copy to match the rest of the series haha)

What I watched:
Yesterday I finally got a subscription on Disney Plus, so expect lots of Disney and Marvel movies coming!
Cursed – Season 1, episode 6 to 10 – definitely liked this show!
Peter Pan – I didn’t know where to start, so I randomly started here!
Dumbo – Now I can finally watch all the live action movies I didn’t watch for some reason!
Ah, I’m sorry Anna K wasn’t for you. I’ve been thinking of picking it up but wasn’t sure! Good to see you enjoyed Mexican Gothic though. I got a copy of it for my birthday so I’m excited to read it but maybe not till October!
Yeah, the idea of Anna K sounded good, but just not for me!
I loved Mexican gothic! I hope you will love it too!
I really want to watch Cursed! Been eyeing it for a while now.
It was good!
Testing!
Sorry about that, for some reason your blog had started eating my comments again so I just wanted to make sure they were going through 🙂 I’ve read a lot of these, and I look forward to your reviews, especially of Mexican Gothic!
No problem, very annoying that my blog does that again..
Itis coming later this week!
Wow you seem to be on a roll with so many books. And hope you had a good weekend too!!!!
Thanks 🙂
Sounds like you had a great week! I’ve heard Mexican Gothic is fantastic! Glad you liked it. 🙂
It really is!
Glad to hear you liked Mexican Gothic! I’ve been curious about that one.
And same about The Luminous Dead, I liked the idea of it but when I tried it, I kind of lost interest. I might try again in the future, though.
And I hope you like The Kingdom of Copper!
I hope you will love it too!
Tbh for me the beginning was the best part of the luminous dead, also started to lose interest!
Thanks! So far so good!
That’s a shame about Anna K! Enjoy your reads.
Thanks, you too!
