Another week of reading short books 🙂 But I’m enjoying them, so that’s the important part!
What I read this week (books with * have a review coming!):
Supernova* – Kass Morgan – 3 stars! Wasn’t as good as book one, but still enjoyed.
Truly devious – Maureen Johnson (audio) – 3 stars! Still very conflicted about this rating.. But will continue (goodreads review is linked)
The catcher in the rye – JD Salinger – 4.5 stars! I never expected to enjoy this book this much! (FIF is coming!)
Summer of salt* – Katrina Leno – 3 stars! Unfortunately this was kinda disappointing to me!
The devouring gray – Christine Lynn Herman (audio) – 5 stars! Uuh I did not expect to love this?! It was amazing!

What I’m currently reading:
Heart of Iron – Amanda Foody (audio) – Only just started, but so far I’m very confused.
Friend or fiction – Abby Cooper – Very original, I like how this book deals with some heavier topics!

Reviews I posted:
Red Dove, listen to the wind – Sonia Antaki.
Unearthed – Amie Kaufman & Meagan Spooner.
The bone houses – Emily Lloyd-Jones.
Other posts:
Weekly wrap up – September 9 to 15.
Top 5 Tuesday – Funny characters.
Can’t Wait Wednesday – The beautiful.
First Impression Friday – The golden Ass.
Books I bought/received:
The devouring gray – Christine Lynn Herman (library)
Heart of Iron – Ashley Poston (library)

Aw sorry to hear Summer of Salt didn’t work for you. It was a five star for me but it’s a fairly polarizing book. I’m really excited to read The Devouring Gray and so glad you loved it!
Yeah I was very sad about it 🙁
I hope you read it, it is amazing!
Quite an interesting mix. What made you choose Catcher in the Rye at this point? I also liked the book when I read it first in college. Since then, I’ve taught the book and helped high schoolers write those required essays. By the way, I like the title of your blog. 🙂
I read on someone’s blog (don’t remember who..) that it gave that reader fall vibes, so I randomly picked it up from the library haha! I can see why though!
Haha thanks! You have a great name as well 😉
Ooh very interesting! I’ve been keeping Truly Devious on my radar, haven’t decided if I should take the plunge and read it or not!
I would say if you maybe need an easier and fun read, it would be nice!
I can’t wait to try The Devouring Grey and Bone Houses!! I’ve never heard of the former before but it’s cover is so pretty! The latter has been on my TBR for a while now Lovely post Evelyn! Jen
The devouring gray is amazing! I can’t stop thinking about it 🙂 I hope you will love it just as much as me!
I remember reading The Catcher in the Rye and thinking I wouldn’t like it but man it was so good!
I sooo want to read the Devouring Gray, it looks so good!
This week I finished The Raven Cycle series (SO GOOD!) and read The Serpent & the Dove!
Oh I also absolutely love the reven cycle! I really want to pick up serpent and dove as well!
I definitely recommen the devouring gray!
